only two things to say:

oh Severus

FUCK YEAH NEVILLE

one more thing actually )

oh and I just saw on Facebook my brother posted: Oxbo?...then the new and last harry potter tonite! I know I'm a dork but I just like those movies a lot!

OH DENNIS

Did I post that he told me he has never finished a whole book? I was so sad when he told me that. It's like I took all the love for intellectual stuff and he took all the love for physical stuff. But I'm still happy that my brother is a Harry Potter fan. xD

Okay. So. This is a very long list-- 101 people-- and it is still nowhere near exhaustive of all the crushes I've had in the past ten years. So if I'm missing someone you KNOW I think is hot and you are aggrieved by the lack of them, speak up and I'll go rustle up some more pictures. I just got tired of thinking after the first hundred people.

See if you can follow the logical progression, I promise there is one for the first half of the picspam and the last portion of it.

come, revel in the pretty with me. )

And for those of you who don't want to click it (are you scared of the pretty? it won't bite), here's the picture of young Ian McKellen I was flipping out about earlier. Yum.

I just watched Half-Blood Prince with my mother, and then I saw someone on my flist had taken a sorting hat test. "Self," I said, "how fortuitously timed! Let's take this test."

Well.

Your result for The Sorting Hat Test...

Slytherin

You scored 32% Order/Chaos, and 42% Moral/Rational

Chaotic Rationality. You don't think much of rules and restrictions; you look at things from an analytical perspective and probably think morality is relative to some extent. Your strength lies in being able to make your own judgments and form your own strategies uninhibited by others; your weakness lies in the wariness other people may have of you, perceiving you as dangerous.

You join people like Theodore Nott, Severus Snape, and Horace Slughorn.

The 4-grid I used to determine this is as follows:

Chaotic Orderly
Moral Gryffindor Hufflepuff
Rational Slytherin Ravenclaw

Take The Sorting Hat Test at HelloQuizzy

And all I have to say about that is WHAT, SERIOUSLY? I never get Slytherin. Almost always I get Ravenclaw, occasionally I'll get Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, I don't get Slytherin. I have a certain amount of admiration for Snape-- I'd never be able to pull off the act he does on the regular, I'd be a completely rubbish double agent-- but he's about the only Slytherin I have any affection for.

Also, I think the dichotomy of Moral/Rational is nonsensical. One can be both moral and rational. I like to think I pull it off pretty well.

(But I did feel really bad for Draco Malfoy this watch-through. Usually I think he's irritating but I think he's more easy to sympathize with in HBP.)

Okay. The train? Was busted. I broke my glasses on the bus they used to take us to Albany, the train broke 15 minutes out of Albany, we were supposed to get to NYC at 7:40 and we made it there at 9:45. JESUS H.

But you know what? Fuck the travel, fuck the broken glasses, fuck all that because WE MADE IT. I have a spare pair, I can tape my broken ones (they broke at the nose, very Harry Potter), we got here okay, My little sister surprisingly rocks, and HI WE'RE HERE WITH SHELL AND AI FINALLY.

And last night, HARRY POTTER. AND MEETING KAIT. [livejournal.com profile] pocky_slash=love. also love, and spoilers )

In short, *orgasms*.

Then AFTER the movie, the car battery was dead, so we had to wait around. Until like 4 AM. It was okay, we had car raves, and Jason did a dramatic reading of "The House That Crack Built". xD

And, and, and, I LOVE BEING HERE.

Now to get ready for the concert, which is at 6. *FLAILS*

Done with it. Cried, yeah.

From 1:40 to 7:20, with about half an hour's interruption to talk to the police-- so that's about five hours then. Not bad. Shorter than GoF or OotP.

In the end... I don't know what to think. It was worth the wait. But I'm still just left kind of exhausted and numb and blurry-eyed.

(don't you hate it when bad things could as easily have been left out? like a fucking sidenote, man. PISS ME OFF JKR.)

okay. I really have nothing to say besides I wasn't surprised by any of it.

Julia called the police on my mother after Mom slapped her for calling her a "fucking bitch". There are times and places and people where that phrase is apporpriate but talking to your own mother is never one of them.

If it had been me I would have slapped harder. Mom didn't even leave a mark on her. The cops filled out the simple formality report and left after basically telling my parents that they were right. My dad took away Julia's cable and cell phone but she still has her TV in her room.

When I was 16 and I came home fifteen minutes late, I lost my TV and computer for a month. She calls my mom a fucking bitch REPEATEDLY to her face and disrespects my parents all the time, and my dad takes her to Quebec City to see Simple Plan.

What I would give to switch lives with her right now. She can deal with being an adult, pull her independence bullshit. I wouldn't mind being 13 again, honestly.

Whatever. She's a stupid bitch and she'll get her punishments enough. My life is still good right now. This is what I've got and I'm gonna fucking enjoy it.

I can be sad and life can still be good. I have that much going for me. I'll be happy again soon.

THE BEST DAY EVER.

femmealunettes: (tired)
This is possibly the best thing I have ever read in my life.

...in other news, I feel okay again, if very very tired due to fiveish hours of sleep. Not nearly enough. I'm afraid I won't be as fangirl-perky as I should tonight, or if I am it'll be with a headache. I don't want to Harry Potter with a headache, I'll be all cross and won't enjoy it!

Mmhm. Okay. Getting payzed today, then to the movies (omgCharlieandtheChocolateFactory!), then to Wal-mart, red hair dye, Weasley +5, Ravenclaw shirt, find my wand and Pig, back to the mall, PARTY. And book. Zomg.

*sleeps for weeks*

Oh! Weeks! Next week Sci-Fi is starting to replay Firefly from the beginning, which, hello fangasm, not having to watch cruddy RealMedia copies > commercials.

Just in case you, y'know, missed it, (and I will be repeating this every post I make for at least a week, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY PLAYLIST PLEASE) you can get all sorts of music from me. So, um, do that please? I like sharing! :D

(People on my RP buddylist can getfile from me, too, I left that on)

So. Um. omgthishasbeenadayI'vewaitedforsolong. If only I didn't want to sleep through it. o_o;;
femmealunettes: (ehehehe...)
So today birthed a new slang term. But it needs some explaining.

Sunny and Kristin and I, and my dad and my brother's friend Dylan, in a car for two plus hours. Kristin and I start talking about Harry Potter. Somehow homosexuality comes up and my dad assures us that Draco Malfoy is gay. "He's a definitely a homo. He's in love with Harry. It all comes out in book nine."

Kristin and I look at each other and DIE LAUGHING. So I have to pretend to be a Harry/Hermione 'shipper (and Kristin counters with Harry/Ginny... ew!), and now we have a new term for slash-- "book nine."

"So I was thinking about book nine, and you know how Sirius and Remus interact in that chapter? Yeah, I think that might need to be a little more lemony."
"I was writing book nine today and I totally screwed up on Sev's characterization. I can post it as humor, or just rewrite it like I should."

yes. and on and on. xD

So Great Escape was teh_fun. We went on a few rides, acted fannish and silly, got chocolate and kept giving pieces to each other. "Here, have some chocolate. It really helps." And screaming on fast rides: "I love Neville Longbottom!" "I love Seamus Finnegan!" "So does Neville Longbottom!" "OMGWTF exclamation point exclamation point one one!" "My hed is pastede on yay!" "Holy crap! Lions!" "We're late for Potions, Snape's gonna kill us!"

omg teh fun. ^_^

And then finally we (Kristin and I) ended up napping while Sunny went to read with her feet in the wave pool.

Very abbreviated, but even shorter: greatest. amusement park. visit. EVAR.

Also, my "I don't tan or burn I AM IMPERVIOUS BWHAHA!" thing? Yeah, guess who got a burn on her shoulders. Oh well, now I get to play with the aloe vera plant! w00t!
