Today I was almost an adult and cleaned all the things and took care of some business.

Mostly, the business of my bank account being overdrafted, which wouldn't have happened if the Student Loans people would actually RECOGNIZE THE FACT THAT I AM ENROLLED IN COLLEGE AGAIN and I SHOULD HAVE A DEFERMENT RIGHT NOW THANKS. My parents love me and don't want me to be overdrafted so they gave me some money, and I went to talk to the lady at the bank and she canceled the overdraft fees, so. That got resolved pretty neatly.

Then I went to Walmart with my mother and sisters, and we bought a mini-fridge for my dorm room, AND IT HAS A REAL FREEZER. Most mini-fridges only have a freezer compartment which doesn't actually keep things icy. I am so stoked about this fridge, you don't even get it. I CAN HAVE ICE CREAM AT THREE IN THE MORNING IF I WANT IT! \o/ Mom and Julia and Rachael all got their nails done. Mom would have paid for me to get them done too, but honestly, I don't need my nails done, I have nobody to impress and they look terrible after a week. I'm fine with unpolished, biteable nails.

After that Julia and I went swimming at Diane's. I like swimming with Julia, we always have the best talks when we're in the pool. ♥ My sister is pretty cool.

And now, Mom and I are going to the drive-in to see Grown-ups and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I hate Nicholas Cage but the trailers really made me want to see the movie despite his starring in it.

....and since Julia told me Inception was amazing in IMAX, I'm going to try to convince my mother that we need to go to Rochester to see it next week. Fingers crossed!

Julia, upon having the Schrodinger's Cat experiment explained to her:

"Fuck that shit! Anybody who thinks like that is stupid."

xD Quantum physics has no place in her world view. It's a simpler kind of life.

I had a dream in which I worked at a porno shop, and the new big thing was a porn series loosely based on Pushing Daisies. I don't even remember what that was all about, but it was really popular.

Then I woke up with a strained right shoulder. I can't figure THAT out. it hurts like a motherfucker, though.

Now my physics-dismissive sister and I are going to go work out at school, and then later tonight we're gonna get drunk. "Fuck Schrodinger! That shit's retarded! And you can tell all your friends that, too," she says. xD

You guys should come play my guess-the-lyrics game! So far [livejournal.com profile] frontyardninja is in the lead with 11 points. There are 40 songs, and most of them haven't been guessed, come give it a shot! (I'm looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] kikkirhodes, I stole the meme from you :P)

Eighty degrees and humid is a bitch for a walk, but once Julia and I got down by the lake it was really lovely with a breeze and we sat there for a while. I really like sitting around talking to her, she's a lot of fun (when she's not nic-fitting and I'm not behind on taking my meds, lol) and we understand each other pretty well. I still can't bring myself to explain what a kink meme is, but she's joined a couple of fanfic comms... soon, she will be like me. MOO HA HA (no seriously that's scary.)

Speaking of my awesome sister, she's looking for more LJ friends, so if any of you are entertained or intrigued by what I say about her, go add [livejournal.com profile] 91cemeterydrive. She doesn't post a lot, maybe this will kick her into doing it a bit more often. xD

It's my parents' anniversary today. 25 years. They're both 45, and they've known each other since they were 15. It's weird to think about, knowing someone for 2/3 of your life, still liking them after 30 years... and it's sad that that strikes me as so weird. It should be normal. 25 years is the silver anniversary... I am obviously at a complete loss as to what to do for them besides, you know, "Happy anniversary, I cleaned the bathroom"? xD

Making a survey to pick a quote for a tattoo doesn't work when it comes out dead even for most of the quotes! But most of you went with the semicolon option anyhow. I think I'll get it done next time I go to Plattsburgh; I trust the people at Body Art.

I haven't written anything worth reposting to my writing journal in over a week. :/ I don't know if it's a symptom or a side-effect when I can't write, but I need to get past it. I did just download a zillion new fonts, so maybe making wallpapers and crap will help with the bottled-up need to make things, but... it's not writing. And writing is necessary to me.... Maybe I should just rework something I've written until I like it enough to post it. Hm.

My mom actually went and bought three boxes of cereal so I could get the only Enterprise insignia I didn't have already... and two of the three were Command insignia, the one I needed. :D Now I have a full set~~~ I am still mourning my lack of Scotty and Old Spock from the BK toys, though.

mmm, I love having a fan, nice breezes.... *doze*

femmealunettes: (hush hush darling : Dresden Files)
xD xD xD

Julia looks EPIC.

we tried to make her go to rehab but she said no no no )

I feel like I've been part of something momentous. Also now I get a cut of her candy. \o/

I really want to spend tonight watching the Dresden Files. I feel that my Halloween can only benefit from the inclusion of wizards and ghosts. Especially cute ones. :3
