my top 20 OTPs/OT3s of all time

femmealunettes: (*threesomes solve everything!*)
In no particular order, taken from TV series, books and movies. All but one of these pairings I've loved for at least a year; some of them I've loved for over a decade. Unsurprisingly, the list is overwhelmingly slash, although there are two bisexual OT3s, one heterosexual couple, and one lesbian couple. There are a few pairings on here that I'm willing to bet very few people are aware that I like, but for the most part this is just an affirmation of pairings I'm already known for appreciating. Still, maybe my doing it will encourage other people to do it! I always enjoy seeing other people's ironclad OTPs.

let's begin, shall we? )

YOU GUYS YOU GUYS

[livejournal.com profile] emerald_embers recorded a podfic for me!

The Dangers of Career Voyeurism (one of the rare few Supernatural fics I've written) is SUPER COOL in her accent.

Go listen to it and tell her she's awesome, because she is MADE of awesome!

First, and most importantly: Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] moorishflower! I love you, darling. Have a wonderful day.

Secondly, I don't know why I'm at all surprised that I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I guess I shouldn't complain, since I did get about five hours of sleep, but... I have so much to do today and I could have used a little bit more rest.

Emi stays up until 1am. I got to sleep around 11:30 after she stopped using Skype for the night. I don't feel too bad about using my computer while she's asleep and the room is dark because I didn't have trouble sleeping when that's what she was doing.

The dining hall opens at 6:45. I told the boys I'd meet them for breakfast at 8. I'm thinking about going to grab a cup of coffee and then seeing if I can sign up for my swim test in the hour between... not to take it, just to sign up for it. Taking it would be later in the morning, in between meetings.

At least waking up this early gives me time to catch up on all the fanfiction I didn't read last night. Priorities, still right in order. xD

made of awesome

Haha, I might be up at ungodly o'clock from the right end of the sleep cycle for a change, but I woke up to such a lovely set of fannish comparisons that I can't complain about having two hours before I really need to be awake today. I'm going to keep watching Rebecca, I only made it through episode 3 last night, and Jeremy Brett is pretty much glorious in it. The storyline is creeping me right out, but it's meant to do that.

Just look at these comparisons. People clearly think I'm more awesome than I actually am! ♥

I am the Picard to [livejournal.com profile] moorishflower's Q (baby, you can show up unexpectedly in my bed any time)
I am the McCoy to [livejournal.com profile] storylandqueen's Chekov (this goes a lot differently if you consider my fic)
I am the Jack Bailey to [livejournal.com profile] sidonay's Dan Stark (more sober, less fun, but learning? :D)
I am the "Beel" to [livejournal.com profile] savorvrymoment's "Sookeh" (come here so I can nom you)
I am the Daria to [livejournal.com profile] sweetxtc666's Jane (la la la la la)
I am the Eric to [livejournal.com profile] asimaiyat's Pam (everybody needs a second-in-command on whom they can thoroughly rely :D)
I am the Fezzik to [livejournal.com profile] lemonflav_lopfe's Inigo (I only doggy-paddle)
I am the Lestrade to [livejournal.com profile] schonste's Clarkie (Granada Lestrade, I hope? :D)
I am the Moony to [livejournal.com profile] it_grrl's Padfoot (it has been so very long since I've had a Padfoot now)
I am the Dax symbiont to [livejournal.com profile] blossommorphine's Ezri (I wanna be inside you.... no, not like THAT)

:D You guys have made me smile really hard. I'm going to keep thinking back to this list all day long, lol.

Now, my big sekrit plan is to get my mother to go out of our way to get Dunkin Donuts before we head out to Wells. I'm not in desperate need of it or anything, but I'm kind of craving cinnamon coffee and a bacon, egg and cheese croissant.

the TRUTH or DARE meme

Fringe is on in a couple of hours... all I want to do is go back to bed. I emailed both my teachers about making up the tests, neither of them have responded yet.

The best thing about my day so far: I got mail! From [livejournal.com profile] jacintillating! Who sent me not only a wonderful woolen calorimetry which is totally my new everyday headgear, but also a gorgeous handmade bookmark that I absolutely cannot figure out how it was made but it's beautiful!

Thank you so much, Jacinta! ♥

My poll is pretty much even on pic, fic, or song of the day, so if you care what you get for the next 31 days, go vote.

I believe in unconditional love, but I don't know about true love. Unconditional love means you can get pissed off at a person, you can be disappointed in them, you can be annoyed by them or betrayed by them or even renounced by them, but you still care about them and their happiness and their well-being despite what they've done.

I don't think I'll experience unconditional love from anyone but my parents, but that's enough for me, to get that much.

True love... is defined by society, really, and it insists on a romantic aspect. I think that my great-grandparents had true love; they were together from when Poppy was 20 and Nana was 19 until Nana died... and even now, Poppy's just waiting to join her, he says as much. When you love someone enough to stay with them for sixty years, to still be in love that whole time, for "til death do you part" means a pause, not an ending... that's true love. It makes me think of a line from a Death Cab for Cutie song: "Love is watching someone die." Poppy came to see Nana in the nursing home every day from the day she went there until the day she died.

No. This is the quote I'm really looking for.

"Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while." - The Princess Bride

Love at first sight is bullshit. Lust comes on in an instant, sometimes. Love is something that hits you like a train-- you can feel the rumble, hear the whistle, see the damn thing coming if you bother to look. Falling takes time, even if it seems like it doesn't. Lust, that's a slap in the face, a punch in the gut, something visceral and raw and sometimes painful. Love can be painful too, but at least with love you can possibly feel a little joy even if it's not reciprocated. In love, you want to be a better person, at least to the person you love.

Lust is something you satisfy. Love is something that you can harvest and there will (should) always be more fruit to pick to give to the one you love.

I don't know if I'll ever find true love. I don't expect to, but it's the kind of thing you can't really predict.

What I Did For Valentine's Day:

12 Heroes ficlets, collectively 4365 words. Eleven different people, because [livejournal.com profile] cruiscin_lan is greedy but also because I'd never written Matt/Daphne/Ando before and I NEVER TURN DOWN A CHALLENGE, and one of them was at Tippy's post but I had an idea so I wrote it. They're all up on [livejournal.com profile] drive_thru_rx for those who are interested.

4365 words, plus 1870 for finishing my exchange fic, plus 800 for a Petrelli commentfic. 7035 words. In one day. Plus five or six awards banners.

I WAS FUCKING BUSY FOR A GIRL WHO ONLY GOT THREE HOURS OF SLEEP IN THE PAST 38 HOURS

of course now I am on a xanax, which is making me nice and drowsy, and when I pop this lunesta I expect to sleep at least eight hours. I better.

But before I go: ANONYMOUS VALENTINES

*hugs* because I know how much you like a cuddle
My need for cuddles, they are endless! *hugs for nonny!*

At the risk of sounding creepy, it kinda feels like you're my internet soul-sister. (And now there are PILLOWS on the couch!)
YOU ARE SO CREEPY, VALENTINE. Just keep Pyramidhead away from me, okay? xD *kisskiss*

You are the best thing about my 2009 so far.
*_* I am so glad to be that person for someone. It's an honor to make someone's day, but this? Is like a big hug. ♥ I love you, whoever you are! xD

Last thing: Real zombies, run for the hills!

I am so completely delighted! \o/

Happy anniversary, [livejournal.com profile] omgimnaked and [livejournal.com profile] captainemo411!!!!

ilu guys! congrats on three years together, here's to many more! ♥

I have been listening to The Mountain Goats since I came into my room. Actually, I was listening to them before I left, too. I have 11 hours of songs by them, and I'm just about halfway through the list... That's a lot of goats.

Most of the time I think I am okay without a beta reader, but I really wish I had someone to look over this story and tell me what I need to do to fix it. (also, I need a beta for heroes_exchange, which is the one thing I have to write between the 25th and January 5.) Although, offering to be someone else's beta reader fills me with joy. I remember back when I was new at fanfiction... I wish I didn't, lmao. Self-insert songfic for the looooose.

Please, let me ruin It's A Wonderful Life for all of you... Thank you. Seriously, this is the most reasonable take on the movie I've ever seen.

Before the year is out, I vow to do the Top Ten To-Do list meme. With pictures. Lots of pictures. Mm.
