Dear god, I think I know why I can't write anything, I've become bored with my own porn. This is tragic.

Anyways, I made a new vlog. Here it is:

vlog time!

femmealunettes: (all right girls! calm down!)
That's right, you should be used to the fact that I vlog when I come home by now, so here it is, my fifteenth vlog ever:

My hair is all funky because I was dying it red, btw. It looks pretty good, I'm going to see how it does in the sunlight tomorrow and maybe post pictures.

I am tired and I have no reason to stay up any later than this, so I think I am going to bed now.

vlogging again

femmealunettes: (...wait for it.... : Spock)

For a change, a vlog that's only 12 minutes instead of pushing 15.

I'm going to make a long LJ post later this afternoon, I just wanted to get this up.

my twelfth vlog

femmealunettes: (*wink*)

In which I talk about finals, grades, my brother, and my resolution for next semester.

My eleventh vlog:

I should have been in bed two hours ago. v.v;

last night's vlog

femmealunettes: (GOT IT. : Sherlock)
I would have posted this yesterday, but Youtube was doing site maintenance and wouldn't let me upload. So you get it today, and unlike the last vlog I made, this one didn't become invalid in between its creation and its posting. Give it a little while to finish processing, I'm just not invested enough in this one to sit around waiting before I put it up... >.>

I am back on campus now. Today was kind of busy. Felix and my dad and I went out to Camillus and exchanged my nonfunctional fridge-with-freezer for a hopefully functional just-a-fridge, because they didn't have any more of the exact model I had and I wasn't willing to come back out to Camillus a third time on Thursday. Fuck that noise, I'll downgrade, not a problem. I really don't need to have ice cream easily accessible, my waistline takes enough damage from the dining hall as it stands.

I am simultaneously glad to be back at Wells and really profoundly unhappy about being here. I really don't want to have any kind of confrontation with my roommate. I'm going to see what she does re: bedtime tonight and if I have to talk to her about it, then I will. I'm going to give her until 2am to turn off the light of her own accord and if she doesn't do it, I'll ask her if she could please start going to bed earlier.

Things here just don't feel as real as they do anywhere else. Wells is its own little world, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. From my perspective right now, it's not a wonderful thing.

I punched Felix in the face today. He said I wouldn't do it in front of my parents, so I did it. Don't ever dare me not to hit someone, because I really do enjoy hitting people a lot. I try to keep that aspect of myself on lockdown, but it's pretty fun to prove people wrong and do something enjoyable at the same time. I couldn't resist.

I can't believe it's only nine. It feels like today has been so long.

blah blah blah

Basically I don't say anything I haven't already said textually here, but if you like watching me talk, here's my latest vlog:

This is not actually a video blog... technically it's a video journal response to my first assignment for Wells 111. The assignment was "talk about where you've been and why you chose Wells." I recorded it the day after I moved into my dorm room, it's just taken me this long to upload it, and I figured maybe someone else would want to see it besides the TA who'll be grading it.

I still have all this reading to do... I basically fucked off all afternoon. I am stupid sometimes...
femmealunettes: (*tub time*)
I promised a vlog and here it is.

I didn't get a chance to watch Sherlock because I had to record this vlog FIVE FUCKING TIMES. If I had known that YouTube upped the time limit to 15 minutes, I would have only recorded it four times, but I was interrupted by my family twice, I was boring once, and I went for eleven minutes once, so this is the result of almost an hour of talking to myself. I hope you all enjoy it. xD

New people: I make video blogs when I'm in the bathtub. It's my gimmick. People seem to like it. I'm going to have a problem when I get to campus and don't have a tub any more, I'll have to come home on the weekends to do my vlogging.

My mother just got back from Pennsylvania and a Joyce Meyer conference. Joyce Meyer is one of those inspirational Christian speakers. My mother adores her. I think she's kind of fruity, honestly, but she's the least objectionable of an annoying bunch as far as inspirational Christan speakers I've been forced to listen to go. She brought me back a book called "Animal Colony", which, as I flipped through it, looks like an anti-welfare rewrite of Animal Farm. I'm not too enthusiastic about reading it but it would be rude not to read a gift. I may have to re-read Animal Farm in order to get the nasty Republican taste off my brain afterwards.

What I really want to read right now is A Series of Unfortunate Events. I was looking at my VFD tattoo while I was in the tub and I got struck with the desire to revisit Violet and Klaus and Sunny. I own the entire set, actually, and I could probably finish them all by Tuesday if I did nothing but read for the next couple of days, but I want to watch Eleven more than I want to read ASoUE, so that won't be happening. I may just read The Bad Beginning and see if that satisfies the craving, but I doubt it will.

two, two, two vlogs for the price of one

First: talking about Simon Pegg and Martin Freeman, as requested by [livejournal.com profile] moorishflower. Non-spoilery flailing about Sherlock included.

Second: talking about portrayals of Sherlock Holmes and going back to college.

femmealunettes: (*tub time*)
Tired of waiting for my vlog to process, uploaded it as a file, download it here if you like. Please comment if you watch it, because I'm a whore who needs positive reinforcement all the time. :D

also, this:
This Is My Life, Rated
Take the Rate My Life Quiz

That... seems about right, yeah. >.> You know, if I hadn't gotten spectacularly laid last month, seeing this result for 'love' might just push me into declaring celibacy... I know better than that NOW. It's a long time until December though... *sigh*

vlogging, jewelry and books, oh my

I made a vlog in the tub again, but it turned out to be almost 20 minutes long. YouTube won't go over 10 minutes, so I uploaded it to Megavideo... and I'm still waiting for it to process. Basically I went from blackberries and took a rambling trip through my school years and hit on Prop 8 and my thoughts on marriage as relates to me, the Salvation Army and how my parents got into it, and a bit of rambling appreciation of you, my friendslist. Also a request for further vlog topics. Like I say in the video: seriously, just ask me to talk about something, I will talk about anything you request. (not necessarily in the bathtub though.)

Like [livejournal.com profile] dougs said: this is the vlog your vlog could smell like, if your vlog was recorded in the bathtub. With Lush bath bombs. Mmm.

I started trying to knit. I cast on thirty stitches with no problem and then... problems started happening. I don't want to have to unravel it but I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a lot of things I don't want to do before this calorimetry is done.

Julia made me a hemp necklace today. It has a dragon medallion on it. She swears hemp stops itching if you wear it for a few days, so I'm just not going to take it off unless I'm bathing and see how long it takes to soften up a bit. It's not actually irritating my skin, but it's... weird to have a weight around my neck. It's been a long time since I've habitually worn any jewelry-- the last one I used to wear constantly was a lizard necklace [livejournal.com profile] moorishflower gave me, which I'm not positive the location of at this moment, but it's still one of my favorite necklaces. My favorite is the teardrop garnet on a silver chain, which matches a silver (I think steel actually) ring with a red jewel in it that doesn't quite fit on my finger any more. I only ever wear silver, if you ever see me wearing gold it's a shocking occasion, I hardly own any gold. I do have one string of pearls I inherited from my grandmother, that's about the only proper jewelry I have.

I don't even have my ears pierced, and that seems to be an oddity for a woman my age. The assumption is that everyone has pierced ears. I just never saw the point in putting more holes in my head than the ones I was born with. I'm not big on accessorizing, it would bother me having something in my ears all the time, I think. Sometimes I admire my mother's earrings, but never in an "ooh I wish I could wear those" way. I'll be honest, it used to be a fear of needles, but four tattoos and over half a dozen blood donations have pretty much cured me of that particular problem. Still, I don't feel the need to get a piercing, even though I've been told I'd look good with a more unconventional piercing like a tragus (which Julia has) or a daith. Someone told me to get an industrial once but that isn't happening while I'm sane.

Tomorrow's supposed to be revoltingly hot again. With, again, thunderstorms on the forecast that I doubt will materialize. I'm dying for a good thunderstorm already. Yes, I know I talk about the weather a lot, I promise as soon as it stops trying to kill me with humidity I'll stop talking about it.

Pretty soon I'm going to have to start unloading my bookshelves into plastic totes. I'm not looking forward to it. Books need to be displayed, not stashed away where nobody can look at them. When I get my own place, my bookshelves are going to be more prominent than my television in my living room. I own a lot of books and I love most of them quite a lot. Although I keep acquiring new ones I have no place to put... oh, and I still owe [livejournal.com profile] saena17 a book, I'm sorry Saena, I'll get right on that, I've had it set aside for weeks now, I just need to wrap it up and address it. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I can fit my favorite series all together in one tote, even though Harry Potter takes up a lot of room since they're all hardcovers (and I don't even own a copy of Deathly Hallows, I just read Kristin's), and Harry Dresden takes up a lot of space because there are so darn many of his books (and I include all the compilations with just one short story by Jim Butcher in this number, I could get rid of most of them after Side Jobs comes out), and there are quite a few Young Wizards books too... maybe I'll need more than one tote.

Okay, time for bed. Tomorrow I'm going to spend some quality time with knittinghelp.com and then maybe I can take this ball of yarn out to the hammock and chill out in the shade when the heat in my room is too bad to bear.

the promised vlog

It's basically just me rambling pointlessly and being kind of maudlin for ten minutes. So uh... yeah, if you want to see in video what I do in text all the time, have at it.

give me direction, o wise friendslisters

Okay, this needs to be separate from the last post so people will actually look at it:

what do you want me to vlog about?

I like doing vlogs, I just don't know what to talk about when I do them. So. Give me topics and I'll ramble about them.

The video blog meme, since you all wanted another vlog...

Vlog #2, again requested by [livejournal.com profile] vellum: a tour of the art in my room! This one's a bit long, at ten minutes, but I promise it's at least as entertaining as the last one.

As soon as I can find my cat, I'll make one with him. It's the finding him that's the problem...
femmealunettes: (captain's log stardate awesome : Kirk)
Uh, just ignore the volcano about to erupt on my chin, okay? Okay.

My first vlog! By [livejournal.com profile] vellum's request, an introduction to all my fun new tech, and for the hell of it, my old tech too. So basically, five minutes of rambling about electronics I own. Also, crazy eyes. Sorry about that. at least I won't throw up on you.

Wasn't that fun? ...no really that's a question, tell me what to do better next time. Speaking of next time, first viable suggestion gets to be my next vlog! Go go go!
