half a day in the life...

And not a very interesting one, but that's what you get anyhow. xD

Good morning world. I didn't sleep very well. I think I need to beat my feather mattress back into some sort of fluffiness.

The view from my front door, just before I checked the mail. Ewwwww.

Good morning Heather!

Minerva doesn't like getting up.

Butcher is a morning cat, though.

N'aww, pose.

I forgot my camera when I went for a shower, so no vaguely provocative photos this time. :P

I had to venture into the Drawer'o'Facepaint to get some cover-up.

I don't know why I have all this, I hardly ever use it.

Still Alive was my unofficial theme song for the day. :D

Successful camera retrieval... pictures in bathroom mirrors are fun!

Does anyone else brush their teeth with particular attention just before they go to the dentist, like that might cover up all your lapses since the last visit?

It can't be just me.

Sweater'd!

I love this sweater, it's so soft.

Minerva likes to lick the water out of the shower after it's been used. Weird, weird cat.

I left the house just after 1:30, and got to walk through ankle-deep snow most of the way.

The view walking down Miller St.

I forgot to bring a scarf, and my face got really cold. D:

Walking past the Georgia-Pacific mill. The sign says "Be a good citizen, shovel your sidewalks." I wish!

I got to the office about 2:10... making good time for walking in the snow. (Not really, I'm fucking slow and it's not that far away...) For some reason, I didn't take any pictures inside the office... oh, right, because I left the camera in my coat on the rack in the waiting room, I didn't bring it in with me.

Right after leaving... happy, numb mouth.

See? Right there... no, back... ah, forget it.

I also forgot to take a picture at Kinney's... but here's one after I walked away.

Lakeshore Chocolates is closed until further notice. D: The sign says to visit their other location on the south side of town.

The Miller/Margaret/Weed/Riley/one other street I can't recall intersection, from between Weed and Margaret.

Same intersection, from the Miller/Riley corner.

La lala, walking home.

Miller Street is so long when it's snowy and I'm walking...

Hey, look what came on my ipod!

Behind the Mobil Lubricants post (lol), behind one of those cars, lies the door to my therapist's office. I have an appointment with her in 9 hours.

The laundromat. Oooh. Aaah. If you look over the billboard, you can see the MacDonough Monument. It's an eagle on top of a big stone phallus. Monumental!

I took this picture of the railroad tracks, then decided to walk down them to Lorraine Street, since that part of the sidewalk was unshoveled and the snow was thinner on the tracks... not even a minute later, the train turned that corner, and my camera battery died. D: I wanted that picture! Alas, it was not to be.

Later on...

Oh yeah, he's cool.

Closeup!

Butcher wants to be Patrick Stump when he grows up.

Minerva wants to be a Nintendo DS. Too big, kitty, you won't fit in that case!

And that's when I got tired of pictures. xD

On the off chance that you don't already have it, here is my theme song for today.

Ellen McLain - Still Alive
we do what we must because we can
for the good of all of us except for the ones who are dead
but there's no sense crying over every mistake
you just keep on trying until you run out of cake
and the science gets done and you make a neat gun
for the people who are still alive

I feel fantastic and I'm still alive..!

Good night.
