I found my copy of The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain!

Sadly, it gives me an error message when I try to run it.

"Dr. Brain 3 requires support for 256 colors."

Apparently, they mean only 256 colors... I'm sad, I was going to totally relive my misspent youth.

D: Alas.

Oh god you have that game? I ♥ you, I've been seeking a torrent of it for aaaages. I remember sixth grade when somebody finally got to the end and everyone was like "whoa".

If I mailed it to you, could you make it playable on XP? I don't know how to do it...

You can always just make an ISO rip of it, upload it somewhere and I'll snag it that way.

Go with that. I haven't actually USED it, as I have nothing to ISO, but here's what the readme says:

Right-click on an CD drive icon in My Computer and select “Copy CD to Image File”. The wizard will open up. Select the target file. Press the “Next” button. Wizard will copy the CD into an ISO file.

When copy is completed, the wizard will display the “Finish” page.

It will take about 3.5-4 hours to upload to mediafire, but I will link you the ISO as soon as it's done.

omg if you could make this work you would be my hero!

The last chick who I helped said the same thing, and then totally blew me off for a valentine.

But in a way you already sent mine and I already got it so ♥ for sacrificing that much time to give me the ISO I desire. Even though it helps you too, now that I think about it...

We both benefit from it. There's a word for that. Like hippopotomi and their bird friends. Symbiotic! It is a symbiotic ISO valentine brain.

...braaaaaaiiiins.

It's errored out twice now, I'm going to split the RAR up and try it in pieces. :/

Apparantly ISO's smush together really well, because it halved its size when I RARed it! So: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zqhss9

Have at it!

OK. Copy ALL the files off the CD (right-click on the drive and Explore, then C&P them to a folder on, say, the desktop). Try running setup from there. It worked for me off the ISO, so I'm hoping it'll work for you.

Once you have it installed, I right-clicked on the drbrain3.exe, went to compatibility and told it to run in 256 colors. I've been playing ever since ^_^
