can't brain, I have the dumb

The problem with botany is that it's a subdivision of biology, and I kind of hate biology. Clearly I did not consider this when picking classes.

*stabs cell theory, the cell cycle, and for good measure, cell phones, cell towers, cell blocks, and cellulite*

I took a botany class last semester and my god I wanted to murder my professor. He's just the most dull man on the planet, and it certainly doesn't help that I discovered that the anatomy of plants does not interest me at all. Plants feel far too technical, and it's hard to connect with them and be interested in them unless you're already predisposed to liking plants.

This is why I am taking a geoscience course for my lab requirement. I like rocks. Rocks do not really have anatomy because they are rocks. :D

I'm lucky in that my teacher is actually very interesting, and the lab portion of the class (at least the first half of the semester) will keep me on my toes in a good way.


A friend of mine wrote rock slash when she was taking earth science. Quartz/Mica OTP!
