hooray for gifts!
I got two Yuletide fics, both on the same prompt. Apparently people really dug my Dr. Horrible prompt. xD
To Turn A Life Around is a really awesome fic covering all of Moist and Billy's friendship, from Moist's first attempt to use his powers for evil (kind of) through what happens after Penny dies and Dr. Horrible's mission goes off the rails. It's such a great friendshippy fic!
What a (Hench)man's Gotta Do is more funny, with a lot more supporting henchmen in the cast, about Moist's sneaky plans to do something nice for the depressed Doctor. Par for the course when he thinks his henchman duties involve the care and feeding of his supervillain. xD
I haven't gone trawling the depths of the collection yet because I got two brand new fluffy-as-clouds pillows for Christmas and took them for a test run immediately after breakfast. xD Rachael got me a gift certificate to the Riverbend Cafe, my mom got me lambie slippers and a blanket to match my robes, and I got a bunch of assorted little things. Not a lot of stuff, but I'm very satisfied with it.
Everybody liked their gifts from me.
lheena, my mom really especially loved the journal! Thank you again for making it!
Now, I am going back to burning Criminal Minds for Dennis, and then there will be turkey and at some point after that, Sherlock Holmes!
Oh: two of the more fun gifts I got, fun in serious finger quotes... SnoreStop pills, which, I had my tonsils removed in fourth grade so I wouldn't snore any more and I was offended when my father told me I kept him up a few nights ago-- I'm sorry, I kept him up? That's quite a role reversal! And the CD series "The Revelation: Living daily with the end in mind." Which, terrific, like I need a) more religion in my life and b) more fuel for my deepest anxieties. No thanks, I'll stick with my soul-defiling podfic if I want someone talking in my ears, I think.

Have you read a lot of Holmes? If not, I highly recommend this: http://www.annotatedsherlockholmes.com/sherlock/index.html
It is extremely comprehensive and you get the entire cannon that way, because all three volumes contain the short stories and the novels. It was one of the best gifts Mark ever gave me. I bet you could get it out of the library.

Also, Dani, I also got the audiobook for the 6th Hitchhiker book for Christmas--I can happily provide Simon Jones talking in your ears if you so want.
