A couple of stoned high schoolers took the dumb route down to the railroad tracks, through the brambles behind the post office, laughing at each other. One of them picked the prickers from his sneakers while the other one looked for big pieces of wood, moving one on top of the tracks.

They both looked pretty shocked when I said "Hey, please don't derail the train right behind my house, that would suck." xD I told them to take it down the line, so they picked up their branches and kept going. They definitely broke into "Off To See The Wizard" as they went north.

This city is so full of random moments of hilarity, I just have to be ready to stumble onto them whenever they might come along.

Dispatch - Two Coins

I have seven prompts left from last month's itsproductivity... because I kept weaving prompts into one, I am a double-up cheater. xD That's okay though, because they're getting done so I have that (inflated) sense of achievement. One whole month of focus on just one character was fun to do, but daunting. Also, I'm having the 'oh man I suck!' issue with my writing again, but that comes and goes. Best to just finish things and go back to them if they need fixing.

People test-drive new cars with their hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel, at least the ones who drive down Miller Street.

I sat on the porch and smoked a cigarette, and the whole time there was a silver minivan in the Press Republican just sitting there, someone in it, waiting as if to turn... but not going anywhere. I bet they were spying on me. Now they know I'm watching them back. xD

What I need right now is a magic wand. If I could just wingardium leviosa my laundry behind me, I could get that done in no time. As it stands, I'm short on boxes to put clothes in, and shorter still on patience and strength to haul them down the street. >>



I finally got this off my camera and fixed it up. xD My 95 year old Poppy and Isabella, the 10 month old daughter of my stepgrandmother's daughter-- which makes her a stepcousin, I guess, but I consider her mom to be my cousin, so Isabella is... a second cousin? Whatever she is, she's freaking adorable. xD These are the extremes of age in my family on either end, and Poppy and Bella spend a lot of time together.

And now that I have that done, I am almost ready to send my mother her Mom's Day stuff. >>

Today, I hit the two milestones I've been working toward in Kingdom of Loathing for the past many months. I got the Big Boat trophy for taking 1000 shore trips, and I reached level 30 with GideonCalhoun. \o/ There's a week until the next moxie day, so I'm going to spend the week stocking foods and making bank (hell yeah) and then: Disco Banditry. It took me five months to make level 30 as a Pastamancer. I want to say I can do it in three as a Disco Bandit, now that I know what I'm doing leveling-quickly-wise.

I watched Good Night, and Good Luck finally, it's only been sitting on my shelf for a year... I'll admit that I was totally confused about Joe and Shirley right up to the end, which doesn't reflect highly on my viewer comprehension skills. xD

...the cats are napping, I don't know if I want to mess with them or join them.
