And I got critical of some ficlet (not in a comment, just mentally) and now I'm criticizing the hell out of what I'm writing, because it is just... not as good as the other things that have been submitted for the challenge, and I know it's not about winning, but I'm thinking twice about posting this at all.

and then I have to think "well, if everyone thought twice before posting a bad fic, the world would be a better place" and that's just being bitter and snide and, fuck, this whole cascade of being a miserable bitch all got triggered because some people are stupid.

Butcher just woke me up knocking everything that isn't nailed down onto the floor. I chucked him out and I guess he woke up my mom, who noticed his collar was missing.

Then she went back to her room, and like thirty seconds later she called out "Hey Danielle, I just had a vision of one of the stray cats stealing Butcher's collar and wearing it around like a trophy. You know, like those rappers with their gold pendants..."

"Some other cat stole Butcher's bling?"

"Yeah!"

In class today we got to watch the kast day of the Jonestown cult. Did you know there were reporters with cameras there as it was happening? Yeah, I wish I didn't know that. One of the most horrible fucking things I've ever seen.

Finally got to make the drink I've been waiting to for a week now. Mob Witnesses = amaretto, Dr. Pepper, maraschino cherries. Delish. Not drunk enough yet. Think I may need to get rum if I want to get really soused.

I'm pretty unimpressed with today. Tomorrow's supposed to be really pleasant. I have to go check the fences and see if Butcher's collar got stuck on any of them. And do laundry. And sit out in the sun until I cheer the fuck up, I am such a moody bitch.
