Sweet Charity hos! A handy-dandy reference guide for Heroes fans on the prowl for some action.


The following people have offered their skillz in support of Sweet Charity, a fandom auction raising money for RAINN - the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. The auction begins Saturday, March 28 and runs through Tuesday, March 31. Tonight was "Ladies' Spa Night" at the YMCA. It was pretty awesome. For $20 I got a manicure, a massage, a reiki... experience? thingy?, a pilates lesson, and so many strawberries and marshmallows dipped in a chocolate fountain. Plus it was bonding time for me and Mom and Julia.

The most hilarious part of it was getting an "Angel Card reading". The lady was laughable at best; her three-card drawing was worse than the most off tarot reading I've ever done, and after the cards when she "listened to the spirits" I almost died of lulz. She was all, "Was there a young boy in your life who passed?" So I told her about Jeff, and she's like "No, he's older than an infant... maybe two or three..." "Nooo...." "Fair-haired?" "No. No one like that, let alone someone who's died." "Well the spirits are showing me a young boy right here between us!"

Oookay, lady. At least the "spirits told her" correctly about my grey cat, lol.

The best part of that, though? My cards were: past, Maturity (lol), present, Serenity (LOL), and future.... Gabriel. ELL OH ELL. Yes. My future is to go fucking nuts and become a serial killer. I buy that more than any other part of it.


Speaking of buying, Sweet Charity auctions are now open. I'm offering two tarot card readings as well as two fics... you don't have to be fannish to enjoy a tarot reading! :D And I promise I'm way better than that Angel Card hack! (I can provide references! xD)

I have links, I'm just too lazy/tired/moody to put them up right now. I saw the Where The Wild Things Are trailer and it made me get all teary-eyed. So I'm probably going to take a shower and go to bed.

Oh, good thing: I finished reading The World Without Us today. Yaaaay. Part of me thinks I should read something smaller (maybe one of the three Anne Carson books I have in wait) before I start Snow Crash. I don't know, I'll figure it out tomorrow.
