21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

I don't really do sequels. I sometimes write things which come after other things, but I don't tend to say "sequel". The only thing I can actively remember writing a sequel to was that Mylar fic where they got paint all over each other (was it called Marked?), and I actually meant to make that a trilogy and just never got around to writing the third part. I am not good at finishing things.

22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?

I've participated in exchanges as a writer, and in Big Bangs as a fanmixer. I think the best experience I had with an exchange was the Summer Company Picnic for heroes_exchange, because I got to do a lot of things for other people (though I think I did more fanmixes than actual writing), although all of my experiences with that community were positive ones, especially the times I got to pinch hit. I think the only Big Bang I've mixed for is the Star Trek one, but I've done a couple of those, and I just picked the story I'm doing for the Big Bang Theory Big Bang.

Wait, do kink memes count as mini-fests? Because I've done a LOT of kink memes.

My birthday is in a week. I don't know what I'm going to be doing for it-- I know I'll be back in Auburn, because Shane is bringing me back on Monday, and I know my father will be back on Monday too since he's going to Plattsburgh when he gets back from Florida. But I don't know if I'm just going to spend the whole day lazing around or what.

The difference between the living room and my bedroom is something like 15 degrees. It's ridiculous. I'm sitting around in a tank top and panties because it's too damn hot for anything more than that. If I was alone in the house, I'd probably be naked. (I practically am, Julia's asleep on the couch.) I went downstairs to have lunch and watched like five minutes of an episode of Enterprise. I kind of think I should watch the whole series. I mean, I do love Scott Bakula. And I love Star Trek. So I should probably enjoy Enterprise enough to make watching worth it.

The heat makes me restless and distracted. I have a whole lot of fanfiction open in tabs that I just don't have the attention to read right now. Maybe later tonight I'll do something useful-- I still have that podfic to record before I can move on to doing podfic for pleasure again, and Julia will give less than a fuck if I record at night, which is a luxury I don't have when my mother goes to bed. I could get a few stories done this week. I'd feel less useless if I got something accomplished.

I just found out today, despite having had Amazon Prime for almost a year, that because I have Prime I can watch streaming movies and tv shows. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE MENTION THIS TO ME BEFORE? They have Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century! This is ridiculous! And classic Doctor Who! And Red Dwarf and Blackadder and A Bit of Fry and Laurie! Shit, now I have to renew my Prime membership.

Okay. I'm probably just going to watch Weeds and maybe put on some pants and go read on the hammock.

I ended up watching last night's Weeds and then watching the first two episodes with Julia... it's like a completely different show now. Seriously, from how this all began, shit got CRAZY. I don't miss Celia at all, that's for damn sure. And I can't wait for next week's episode.

Julia falls asleep every time we smoke weed. It would be funny if it weren't so annoying. I like people to pay attention when I show them something I love, not to sleep through it.

I have a toothache. This really sucks especially hard because I lose my dental insurance on the 19th, so I have to get the dentist's number from my mother and see if they can get me in this week. I'm not entirely sure whether it's my teeth that hurt, or my gums. It's not a cavity, or at least it doesn't react to cold like a cavity usually does.

I think I'm going to make that necklace for Shane tonight. Like, soon. Possibly within the next twenty minutes. It'll give me something to do until Julia wakes up, and then I will have something nice to give her on Friday.

I might also bake cookies tonight, if we have enough butter.

eta: I had a glass of wine and the toothache went away... okay? I'm not going to question it.
