001. what songs are you currently addicted to?
I just spent the last five days basically listening to top 40 stations exclusively, which means that right now my taste in music is very bad. I guess Need You Now by Lady Antebellum is the least bothersome of the songs I've gotten stuck in my head. O.M.G. by Usher and will.i.am is stupidly catchy for a song that says "oh my gosh". Breakeven by the Script is an actually good song, and of course anything by Lady Gaga that's on the radio sticks in my head for a while. And embarrassingly enough, I will admit to finding Ke$ha catchy as hell. My taste will get better as I have time to reassert my iTunes playlists in my mind. xD
002. what are you currently reading?
I'm rereading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I gave my copy to Kelly a couple years ago, and Alice just saw the musical with her husband so I got her the book on Paperbackswap, and I'm reading it before I give it to her... which means I have to finish it tonight.
003. what was the last movie you saw?
I literally just finished watching The Invention of Lying, which I thought was really adorable. I haven't liked Ricky Gervais in anything I've seen him in before, but he was terribly endearing in this movie.
004. what makes you angriest/most frustrated right now?
The fact that I still have to do an essay for English Literature is making me pretty frustrated. Up until about twenty minutes ago my remix fic was stressing me out, but that's all taken care of now.
005. favorite book and why?
I can't pick one book, are you crazy? I can give you favorite authors in order: Diane Duane, Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Adams, Jim Butcher, Dianna Wynne Jones.
006. what are your current addictions?
Skittles and sleep, mostly. Sherlock Holmes. Laziness.
007. what is your favorite t-shirt?
It's probably my xkcd shirt: "Stand back! I'm going to try SCIENCE!"
008. something about you that most people don't know? extra points if it's interesting.
When I was young, maybe seven or eight, I was playing in my Grandma's yard a few days before Christmas. I was digging in the dirt with a metal pole that was part of her broken-down little fence, and when I brought the pole down it bounced back up into my right eye and scratched it up. My parents rushed me to the optometrist, and he could not get me to take my hands away from my face. Finally he said "Come on, Danielle, see my nose? See my big nose? Punch me in my big nose." I wound up and popped him right in the schnozz so hard that he rolled back on his wheeled chair. He never again told a kid to punch him in the nose. Julia suspects that this is why I have a problem touching my eyes for contacts. Extra fun: In all of the holiday pictures that year, I have a huge ugly eyepatch on. I begged my parents not to take pictures and they totally ignored me.
009. what was the last thing you bought?
I paid for lunch for Julia and I on the way back from the Buffalo airport. We had Burger King.
010. do you have more friends online or off?
Online, definitely. I have only a handful offline.
011. something that made you laugh today?
The Invention of Lying made me laugh pretty loudly. Today's been kind of a sober day for me otherwise.
012. favorite non-alcoholic beverage?
Cinnamon dolce frappucinos from Starbucks. Or coffee milkshakes.
013. what was the last thing you ate?
Vegetarian lasagna with a glass of milk, and a slice of crumb cake for dessert.
014. what are your current favorite pairings?
Honestly, 90% of what I've been reading lately is Holmes/Watson. A bit of Dean/Castiel and Sam/Gabriel. Neal/Mozzie when I can get it, which isn't often.
015. favorite website?
Hands down, Livejournal. Facebook is a distant second.
016. what are your plans for tomorrow?
Alice is going to pick me up around 1. I'm not sure what we'll be doing, it's a surprise. Last time she surprised me, we went to all the historic sites around Auburn, and that was a lot of fun, so I trust her to make more fun happen. After that, probably laundry and maybe getting started on that essay. If I can finish catching up on Fringe by 9, I'll watch the finale as it airs.
017. what kind of music is contained in your hard drive?
On this laptop? Mostly indie. Indie and Lady Gaga and Glee soundtracks.
018. favorite color?
Grey. Which apparently is weird, because when I said that in a gathering of friends in Plattsburgh, I got strange looks. (We were coloring in animals for Kelly to use with her classes.)
019. pet peeve?
Blatant disrespect.
020. guilty pleasures?
Sleeping in late to try to finish up a dream. Reading fanfiction until dawn. Being a bitch in my inner monologue.
- Mood:
lazy
