f. f. s.

So my dad brought the last of my boxes from Plattsburgh. You know how I've been looking for those old Vanity Fairs to bring to Carrie? I thought I found them.

No. What I found was 20-some-odd issues of Details. No 400-page mostly-fashion-ads magazines. Lots of hot men in suits, but I don't think that's what she's going for. (Then again, maybe she is.)

At least I know where my thesaurus is now. v.v; And my book of quotations. Very valuable resources.... before the internet, anyway. God damn that was a heavy tote to get up the stairs.

Because I am stupid, I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] remixredux09. My lesson: I never learn it. Wonder if I'm going to be assigned to a Heroes writer or a Trek writer... :x

Someone who is a fan of Star Trek and Scrubs needs to write this prompt because the USS Sacred Heart is the funniest fucking idea and all of the suggestions are lolworthy. xD I don't know which is better, Cox and McCoy as jaded drinking buddies, or The Todd as a Vulcan, high-fiving people with the _\\//

...soIwroteneko!Spockfictoday... I have such a love-hate relationship with kink memes, I swear. They hurt me and I go back for more. I've got Stockholm Syndrome for fandom.

Actually, that kind of makes sense. Huh.

We're in the Stockholm Syndrome boat together, friend. Kink memes are evil. Challenges are evil. But I loooove it!

Last year for the remix, I made the silly mistake of saying I was able to write in lots and lots of fandoms, and I ended up getting assigned to Harry Potter, which I had never written in before, and have never written in since. Silly me. This year I was a little more judicious. Ooo, but I hope lots of Trek people play. Sadly, I imagine not too many people will actually qualify to enter in that fandom, because not many have written five fics yet. But... I wouldn't hate getting a Reboot writer to remix... Not hate it at all.

I don't know, there are a lot of people who've done like me and have PLENTY of qualifying fic from the meme. xD And/or the McCoy challenge, the Chekov challenge, any of the other challenges going on that I don't follow... I only signed up for Reboot, I probably should have offered TOS too. Hm.

I don't even have a copy of the fic I remixed... like two years ago. It was a Fall Out Boy story, I know that much. xD

Aw man, remixes sound like fun! I need to get back into writing fic for a fandom that doesn't just consist of me and my best friend. D:

... but wow, Stockholm Syndrome is pretty much the perfect way of describing my affiliation with fandom too. And hotdamn, I love that kink meme. Keeps me entertained forever. XD

Two-person fandoms are dangerous. :x But I say that as one who's been burned.

Haha, we're all Stockholm victims, we just don't say it out loud. xD

I probably would give trek/scrubs a go in the good old days but I kinda gave up the writing and at present I have a Man from UNCLE fic in my brain thats pulling on my eyeballs going, "LET ME OUT I WANT TO SEEEEE!"
O_O *twitch*
xx

I really... REALLY shouldn't, but I am so tempted to sign up for the remix exchange.
