Somebody on the sherlockbbc comm suggested that Benedict Cumberbatch should play the next incarnation of the Master opposite Matt Smith's Doctor.

I watched the Ninth Doctor avidly, liked the first season of Ten, and then fell out of it. I've seen the first episode of Eleven and I like Matt Smith in the role well enough, I just haven't sat down to watch the rest of the season yet.

Hmmm, he looks like he'd be a great foil to Matt's Doctor, but I've never seen him in anything, so who knows. What has he been in?

He's playing Sherlock Holmes in the new BBC series Sherlock, which is BRILLIANT and EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH IT. I think the picture came from Stephen Moffat's Twitter, and he works on both Sherlock and Doctor Who.

...I'm not sure what else Cucumberpatch has been in. I think The Other Boleyn Girl, but other stuff too.

You're only one episode behind, it only premiered on Sunday. Plus it's only three episodes long so even if you miss it all, catching up will be a snap.

Have you seen Benedict in anything else? He was so epic in the first episode of Sherlock that I need more, and have absolutely no idea where to start.

I have not seen him in anything else, to be honest I haven't even hit up his IMDB page to see what he's been in, yet! His cheekbones are compelling me to find out, though.
