It was either Jonny Quest/Jessie Bannon, or Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask. Either way, I would have been ten or eleven years old.

Well, they were both canonical couples. It's not like I started independently shipping them or anything. I didn't start liking non-canon couples until I stumbled over Mulder/Krycek when I was 13.
