The Shriners came to the Salvation Army today for some special tour and dinner thing. I ended up helping my mom from 4:30 until almost 9, making salad and tortellini and serving people and cleaning up tables and stuff.

Man, those Shriner fezzes? ARE WEIRD. Seriously, old men walking around in velvet hats with rhinestone-outlined words on them? Uh. Okay.

It was fun, though. I really don't mind doing things like that, community service type things, helping with soup kitchens and food shelves and just generally helping people out. Not that this was a soup kitchen, it was... more upscale? Slightly. xD The execution was basically the same.

I made it home in time for Heroes because my mommy loves me, and then I spent an hour squealing in delight. Contentment with the plot motion, I has it. (and also the romances are almost all made of win this season?!)

Okay. I am not doing so well with the sleeping early thing, but at least I am sleeping, and soundly, so I'm going to go do that for a while, and I'll probably see all y'all after the downtime. ♥
