femmealunettes: (clueless again : Jack Carter)
Kristin and I finished watching the second season of Eureka today. I really love that show quite a lot... and I'm pretty much enthralled by Ed Quinn and how he moves. *_* My thing for uber-tall guys is inexplicable and irresistible. And his beard is good. xD

Two days away from the Demon trophy \o/ And note to self: ascend Landshark TODAY. Make sure it's got the necessities first, though.

I hit my first million meat mark on GideonCalhoun today, too! Now I only need, uh, about nine million more to get a sweet-ass familiar. c.c

Now, I should be getting the urge to fall asleep any minute, so I'm going to post up some music as quickly as I can.

Bright Eyes - Lua
I’ve got a flask inside my pocket we can share it on the train
If you promise to stay conscious I will try and do the same
We might die from medication, but we sure killed all the pain
But what was normal in the evening, by the morning seems insane.
And I’m not sure what the trouble was that started all of this
The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did
It’s not something I would recommend, but it is one way to live
Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is

Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong - Summertime
One of these mornings
You're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings
And you'll take to the sky
But till that morning
There's a'nothing can harm you
With daddy and mamma standing by

Summertime, and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high
Your daddy's rich and your mamma's good lookin'
So hush little baby don't you cry

Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello - What's Her Name Today?
What's her name today?
What's her name today?
Is her hair hanging down?
Or maybe it's fixed with a ribbon
Are her eyes still blue?
Should she trust in you?
Because it's a lonely world
She wants to believe for a while in all the things you say

Tomorrow, I hope to finish the Bob FST I've been working on. I collected some pictures to use for the covers today; I'll photoshop it up all pretty and get the songs arranged and with a little luck it'll be done and up tomorrow night.

I also have to make a link post, but: tomorrow. That sleepy is starting to set in. Good night, and happy loss of an hour, fellow Americans. -_-

femmealunettes: (deep thought. : Sinfest)
I had a most excellent dream. Part of it was "omg house is a wreck, party soon, what?!" but the majority of it was cuddling and kissing and snuggling in bed with one of my more embarrassing fandom crushes. And it was nice. ♥ I feel all right about today, good dreams always give me a boost like that.

Link post a little later: I have to do the daily gathering. xD

she will feed you tomatoes and radio wire

femmealunettes: (odd man out : Eureka)
:O I just ascended Landshark Says Candygram. :O :O :O Tomorrow is a muscle day, so hopefully I can get the baby Seal Clubber up to level 5 or 6... she's up to 3 already. \o/ I also finished a couple more stories for that table. I have the feeling I'm just writing for myself, but hey, not the first time.

Now, links!

George Romero talks about zombies. Apparently, they can't run because they'd break their ankles. I guess that makes sense.... Diary of the Dead is from the point of view of college students, kind of like Cloverfield, but I think it will be better. >>

Cats are being rounded up and killed in Beijing in preparation for the Olympics. DO NOT WANT ;___;

I don't think Bush has thought this waterboarding thing through...

Hillary Clinton has jumped the tracks shark. Just the cherry on a self-sabotage cake, really.

A map of Ludacris' hoes by area codes. AHAHAHA. Apparently, he's down with the east coast hoes, but he's not afraid of the flyover state bitches entirely.

The mechanics of the man hug. One more reason to put Obama in office: he knows how to man-hug. xD I'm glad girls can hug, because man hugs look unsatisfying.

An analysis of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah and its place in media today. Have I already made the ginormous Hallelujah covers post? I think I have...

Top 10 grammar myths. English is an evolving language! I'm glad that I don't have to worry about prepositions any more. I try to keep them in their place, but sometimes you just have to end a sentence with one.

The author of The Omnivore's Dilemma and The Botany of Desire says: Don't eat anything that doesn't rot. That means twinkies, pop-tarts, cereal... don't harsh my breakfast buzz, Michael Pollan! No, really though, I've read his books and they're very interesting, and this interview brings up a lot of things that you may not have thought about in terms of what you eat and why everything is made from the same basic things now, why whole foods are so expensive, that sort of thing.

I think I'm going to go to bed early tonight-- it should feel like eightish, but it feels more like ten to me right now. -_-

Note to self: dried cranberries, chocolate chips, almonds, walnuts, raisins, pineapple. DIY would be more and cheaper than buying the premade mix, and customizeable. (mmm, pineapple.)

I just told [livejournal.com profile] dearjohnnycash that everyone needs to experience this song. DOWNLOAD OR FAIL.

King Missile - Detachable Penis
I woke up this morning with a bad hangover
And my penis was missing again.
This happens all the time.
It's detachable.

[ background singing begins:
"detachable penis" over and over ]

This comes in handy a lot of the time.
I can leave it home, when I think
it's gonna get me in trouble,
or I can rent it out, when I don't need it.
But now and then I go to a party, get drunk,
and the next morning I can't for the life of me
remember what I did with it.
