July 2nd, 2008
I got some Torchwood books and the first three volumes of Y: The Last Man yesterday. I finished Something in the Water and I'm reading Trace Memory, then I'm hopping on the graphic novels and saving the last book for a treat. Yummy. :3 I finished reading two Mercedes Lackey books (haven't read her in a month of Sundays), and man am I a sucker for dragon books. Joust and Alta. There's a third one, but it wasn't at Cornerstone when I got the first two. I may have to check back, I enjoyed the first two a lot.
Right now I'm chilling with Kelly, watching the young and handsome Thomas jam out on his guitar. A little while ago Kelly made me sing while they played Blister in the Sun. I am a violent femme. xD Lacy left for work, and after the boy tires his fingers out we have movies to watch. Satisfying way to spend a balls-hot day.
ALSO. Rick rejected me, very gently, but it still hurt. I cried into my cat, I won't lie. (doesn't help that I was about three strong rum and cokes into the night.) But he's still being the same guy, which makes it both harder and easier to get over him. Oh well. I owe him like five cigarettes out of my pack, since Lacy bought me the good ones in exchange for groceries.
But sitting here today at Kelly's, I re-met a nice geek named Mike, and we hit it off talking music and anime and British sci-fi. So there is a new friend, if not something more (we're already doing the tentative geek flirt thing) on the horizon. ♥ He's 25, so I'm not always the oldest person in the room, too. xD I'm excited.
Aside from that... I've still been sleeping restlessly, but last night was a good one. Butcher is getting fat, the lazy bastard. Kayla and Tyler are having explosive, door-slamming, screaming crying fights multiple times a day. I'm stuck on game 3, stage 9 of Peggle (stupid yin-yang!), and my writing has hit a snag, so I'm typing all that up and editing it, waiting for inspiration to re-strike.
My parents want me to move out to Auburn with them. I can't until October, but I wouldn't until after my birthday anyway. No plans yet, and I'm not sure if I will make any beyond s'mores and a little bit of drinking in my backyard. Maybe some Singstar tournamentation. xD
I miss Doctor Who. People are all "askdjhffd" and I'm all sadfaced because I don't have it, but I can always catch up later. The beauty of the internet!
I still miss all of you guys. ♥ Seriously, text me, let me know what's going on in your lives! Any little thing at all. And if more of you have Twitters, let me know, because that's my primary way of keeping up with folks. (if you don't, you should.

When I get back to some high-speed quality internet, you better believe I'm going to make a big music post, too. xD

New favorite, for serious. Right up there with Thumbsucker and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. :D :D :D Anton Yelchin ♥ and Robert Downey Jr ♥ ♥ ♥
I feel so satisfied with the world right now. And I just got a very surprising, but very welcome text message. ~~~yay~~~
Now we're going to watch The Lookout. Movie time at Kelly's is always awesome!
