I just realized that I don't actually need a friend in Auburn... I just need someone with a 360 who'll let me watch them play games all day. Especially now that Gears 2 is out. And Saints Row 2 has been out for a little while. Someone has to appreciate a spectator.

Gaaaah. I'm not even tired. I'm just horribly, terribly bored. I'm so bored, I don't even want to read fanfiction. :O

I guess this weekend is when Auburn starts their bell-ringing campaign. WTF? I've never known a Salvation Army to start the kettles before Thanksgiving. This seems... preemptive. And probably not very useful, because years when everyone's feeling the cash crunch are years when donations go way down, and the earlier you start the earlier people get fed up with you. Whatever, at least I know what I'm doing on Saturday. (Hint: it involves lots of standing and saying 'happy holidays' long before either holidays or happiness kick in)

You know how toddlers act when they don't want to take a nap? That's what my body feels like to my mind right now. My mind is like "okay sweetie, time to lie down" and my body is like "no! nononono wanna cookie wanna watch Dora wanna play no sleep! no!" GEEZ. I should just spank myself and send me to bed. Except I do want to sleep, it's not my fault. -_-

Speaking of entertainers in public office, Al Franken is coming damn close to a Senate seat. I love how, the closer it gets, the more the Republican candidate begs him to let it go and concede. xD Yeah, cause that's how it works. Someone is new to this business, incumbent or not.

First black president of the US, and now the first black Time Lord? Colin Salmon's name has come up as the possible Eleventh Doctor. Better than Billie Piper, I say... Although a female Doctor would be awesome. (Black Jewish lesbian Doctor?)

...and my last tidbit of news I am not linking to, because it was on a page with spoilers I didn't want to see but saw anyway... but! Seth Green is going to be on Heroes! \o/ Geekgasm imminent! Do want do want do want. (Do NOT want the spoiler. I am tired of shows killing off my favorite characters.)

I'm up to 2242 words on my current wrisomifu/stayintheroom story, which also happens to be a HAKMii fic (just because the ficathon is over doesn't mean prompts have to go to waste!), and I can see this easily going another 3000. Which, you know, is longer than just about anything I've written in the past year or longer. Goddammit, Mohinder and Sylar, you talk too damn much.

Finished watching S2 with my mother... by the last two episodes she was like "okay, this is getting stupid... what the hell? please tell me they're [Hererra sibs] going to die soon... what is Peter's problem? GEEZ." xD Seriously, if I could just talk to her about slash a little bit, it would be just like watching Heroes with a normal person!

...what does it say about me that making snarky references to buttsex is my default state of TV-watching? NO RLY THIS IS NORMAL MOM. EVERYONE TOTES SEES HOW GAY THE PETRELLIS ARE. (No, REALLY.)

Anyway. xD I'm in a better mood because I got about 600 words written today, I've been served up some excellent tunes I haven't heard in a while thanks to Genius, and I itch significantly less! Almost not at all! \o/

Right now I am oddly in the mood for fanvids. So I am going to go watch a bunch of those, and maybe write more later but maybe not... and I will save the few links I have now for a bigger link post tomorrow, because I think that's good?
