I got... about 600 words added to a story today, even though I didn't finish it. Also I have come to the conclusion that Kristen Bell and Zachary Quinto are the best people ever in the world when put together. They are so pretty, and so amusing, and so at ease with each other. ♥
Another conclusion I have come to: it is better to take the damn pills, get some solid sleep, and just stay up when I inevitably wake up at 7:30. All that morning time could be spent writing. Or at least catching up on the news and berating myself for not writing.
....oh, dammit, I just realized I promised Rae I would type her homework for her and forgot about it. (yes, I am calling my sister by her cutesy nickname. I've never really used a nickname for any of my siblings before, but I may as well start now.) So I have to do that before I can sleep.
It's like a bad anti-drug commercial. "Just tell your sister you were too busy writing fanfiction to help with her homework. She'll understand."
Speaking of anti-drug, it has been a few days since I have had a cigarette. I have a pack on my dresser, unopened, and it has been unopened for a while. Since the day I saw Zack and Miri, when I got the twofer. And I have two (now-stale) cigarettes left from the opened pack. (eta: November 1 was when I bought the packs. It's been over two weeks.)
I want one, kind of, but not bad enough to open the pack. So... willpower, yay.

- 09:49 First time since moving here I've come to church, four Sundays later. The first person I talk to: Rachael's 15yrol right-wing pal. Sigh. #
- 11:25 Oh my god, this church is so heavy on the crazies. #
- 11:46 No, seriously. The crazy to sane ratio is close to 2:1 in this room. I am a heathen and writing Hiro and Ando fic to survive. #
- 11:49 Terribly amusing: Mom wanted to use a Godspell song for the inspirational; I could pick out John Barrowman from the ensemble. Heh. #
- 13:05 Oh great! This guy wants to run a Bible study and he WON'T FUCKING SHUT UP! #
I spent this morning making icons for

You know, the snow doesn't look all that bad. If there's enough of it later, I might go make a snow cat on the stairs and see how Butcher and Oreo react. xD Plus now I have a reason for ~~scarves~~ and ~~hats~~ all the time! (Despite the fact that I have yet to wear an actual coat this season.)
Tomorrow LJ is going to be down. I hate that they put it in PST, because what it really means is from noon to 4PM I am s.o.l. on my usual midday fic search. xD Lunch + crack is ideal, yes?
I... really just want to go back to sleep...

They could not understand, they said, how even animals could bring themselves to sing such contemptible rubbish. Any animal caught singing it was given a flogging on the spot. And yet the song was irrepressible. The blackbirds whistled it in the hedges, the pigeons cooed it in the elms, it got into the din of the smithies and the tune of the church bells. And when the human beings listened to it, they secretly trembled, hearing in it a prophecy of their future doom.
Early in October, when the corn was cut and stacked and some of it was already threshed, a flight of pigeons came whirling through the air and alighted in the yard of Animal Farm in the wildest excitement. Jones and all his men, with half a dozen others from Foxwood and Pinchfield, had entered the five-barred gate and were coming up the cart-track that led to the farm.

Strangely inspirational for a random passage from a random book. (italics mine, obviously.)
