My big project for tomorrow: downloading the entirety of Supernatural I have missed. This means from midway through S2 to current... which wouldn't be so bad, but they're all split into 4 pieces each, which is... a lot of downloading. At least MediaFire doesn't have a downloading limit I've ever reached...

I have to have something to go on to, and I think I can get Julia to watch it with me. Probably not my mom, though. That's okay, even if she missed the broyay in Heroes, it is waaaay too obvious in Supernatural. And as long as I stay the reccommended 20 feet away from the fangirls, I should be able to enjoy it. xD I'll admit, part of my interest is in seeing who this Castiel guy is... but I miss the brothers Winchester in my life, too.

How trite would it be to write Elle-fic framed by lines of "I Sing the Body Electric"? More to the point, will it keep me from doing so? Because... I have seen one story use part, but not the parts I plan to. And... ah, whatever, we'll see if I even remember the idea in the morning.

Rachael is at the hospital. Dad took her to Syracuse. I feel so bad when she comes in my room crying because mom and dad won't listen when she says she's in pain. No one knows what's wrong with her, still, but she's got the abdominal pains again on top of it being shark week. My poor, poor sister...

One thing I want for Christmas: a new animated Sylar mood theme, heavy on S1 and S3. Not so much on S2? Maybe on the edges, but none of THAT road trip. Hrm.

Well, I may's well start something. I got all my Christmas cards addressed to those who asked for one already, but it's not too late for you to get one too!

I swear, these memes are only until I get my head switched on. It'll happen soon. Anyhow, this one is from [livejournal.com profile] quaere_verum_xi, and I'll make it useful by making it a music-sharing post, too! See, it's not just a meme. 27 completely random songs!

1. Put your media library on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS!

All right, I do believe that I am conscious and able to do more than answer simple questions! Unfortunately, the first and most important thing I have to report is the cancellation of Pushing Daisies. WHAT THE FUCK, ABC. YOU SUCK. YOU SUCK SO HARDCORE. ;_; dammit. The only possible upside to this is that maybe Bryan Fuller's return to Heroes will bring the consistent quality back to that show.

D: So one of the absolute best serialized shows on TV has been canceled, and the serialized show I'm most personally invested in is being treated like a red-headed stepchild by its creator. Tim Kring needs to step back and pass the reins to someone who actually likes the characters that have been created, and can use them in interesting and fun ways. There is nothing wrong with exploring motivations and feelings, okay, it doesn't have to be all end-of-the-world all the time... (be careful, the second page has spoilers for the next volume.)

In better entertainment news, the curse of the redshirt lives on! I'm sure you were all worried about the redshirt-to-other death ratio in the movie... well, I was... and this is an explanation/tribute for those one-shot wonders on the security team. ♥ Rest in peace, Red Shirts #1-7.

As late in the day as I'm posting this, it's still the Transgender Day of Remembrance. For all the steps forward that are being made in and for the queer community, the transgender population is still marginalized and misunderstood-- and very subject to violence, most depressingly. Read the article, give the topic a few minutes' thought, okay?

More depressing midnight regulations by the shrub: relaxing endangered species regulations so businesses have a few months of rampant habitat-destroying before Obama reverses it. ...is it January yet? (rather, is it May yet? Please?)

On the hilarious end of the political news spectrum, Bush is the kid in class with cooties who smells funny. At the G20 summit, he TOTALLY got dissed when none of the world leaders would shake his hand. Everybody on the planet is going to be glad when he's gone.

THIS IS LOLARIOUS: [livejournal.com profile] captainemo411 wrote The Brawny Man Rap-- subtitled "Paul Bunyan Is A Pussy." I CRACKED UP, read it!

Finally, in honor of my downloading the entirety of seasons 2, 3, and what's been shown of 4 of Supernatural, have an awesome gen crossover ficlet of Supernatural and the Dresden Files books. Brothers are defensive! ♥

And now, I am going to be pretentious with fanfiction. \o/
