I am at work with my parents... and there is pretty much nothing for me to do. So I'm getting all my Christmas cards done. xD

Last night I had bizarre dreams about cats. Namely, Minerva (who had kittens) and Butcher (who escaped, so I caught him, but then he ran by me again so I caught that one too, and I had both arms full of Butchers *_*), but also a whole host of other random cats. CATS. =^o.o^=

So I'm on the Salvation Army-approved-slash-monitored internets, and I shouldn't have clicked the link when I saw this posted, but someone on the anon meme wrote the most absolutely perfect story and I had to share: "Kaito Nakamura was like a father to me" (Kaito/Ando, R) It completely knocked me over, fr srs.

I know this is sad, but I can't connect a lot of your real names to your screen names off the top of my heat. -_-;;; I LOSE AT PEOPLE, GUYS.

omg, I am so hungry. Mom has a stash of healthy (but delicious!) snacks in her desk. I may have to raid that.

Oh! Someone posted a Sylar&Elle moodtheme last night, and I am definitely setting that up when I get home. Zach and Kristen all over the place ♥

Last call for Christmas cards, people!
(yes, I know it's kind of early for a last call, but I take a long time to get things done. -_- )

Part of the fun of being an officer's kid around Christmas is being drafted to help in things that aren't standing kettles in the bitter cold.

The best one: angel tags.

These are cards we hang up on Christmas trees in conspicuous places-- post office, grocery stores, the mall-- and each one has a name, an age, a gender, and a desired gift item. People pull down the tags, buy a gift, and deliver it with the tag taped on. It's a nice program, and how most of the gifts we distribute get here.

The fun part is, we don't actually write real kids on them. We space out ages and divide the tags into half boys, half girls. And then we need names. :D

Some of the highlights of this year: most of the characters from Heroes, and most of the actors; a bunch from Supernatural, half the characters from Pushing Daisies, all the characters from Chuck, and a whole bunch of my LJ friends. \o/ (omgimnaked, I hope you like Dora the Explorer. And ruedifference, you want a bike. xD)

It is harder to come up with 150 toys than you think. Especially because I have no flippin' clue what kids under 12 like. o.o;

I'm done with the name/age part, and Mom's going to help with the toy part when she comes back up.

Later today, we are going to the Carousel Mall (again \o/) and then we are picking up Julia from the train station. It has been weird not having her around. The house is so... quiet. And no one comes into my room to pester socialize with me, except Xena.

omg, I want a nap so bad. ;_;

So, things are getting all shook up with the Canadian government right now. The Conservative Prime Minister is Doin It Wrong, and the other four political parties are all banding together to tell him to GTFO, and it's getting a little bit messy.

Now, I like to think I have some kind of idea of what's going on in the world, but I am pretty much clueless if I can't even understand what's up with our Neighbors in the North. Luckily one of my favorite Canadians, beachkid, helped me out by linking me to an extremely informative blog post about how the Canadian government works, and what's the buzz currently stirring up the hive.

If any of you guys are as confused as I was, you don't have to admit it out loud... just go read that post, and be informed. xD

MY MOTHER COMPLETELY FUCKING TRAUMATIZED ME IN THE CAR ON THE WAY HOME.

She was all, "man, I had so many dreams last night... you won't want to hear this, but..." and Julia and Rachael and I all said "NO, STOP" but she didn't, she went on, "I dreamed that your father and I were fooling around, and Danielle walked by to go to the bathroom and caught us."

I ALMOST CRIED. DO. NOT. WANT. Worst mental image EVER.

If I wasn't already in therapy, I would demand that she pay for it.


...aside from that horrific moment, today pretty much kicked ass. I had a decent time at the office, I got to do a little bonding with Mom and Rachael, I got two new bras from Victoria's Secret ♥ and the lady at The Body Shop helped me mix my own personal fragrance and gave it to me for free when I bought an atomizer. IT SMELLS DELICIOUS. Equal parts vanilla, satsuma and dewberry, with just a touch of tea rose. Mmmm.

And now I have those 50 extra icon spaces!!!!!!!!11!!one! PSYCHED!
