One more day with no writing done. o.o; I tried. I started something, okay, I just. Haven't finished it. Or gotten very far with it.

I am up to Best Drama for the awards reading, though. So. I will be done with my section one votes by the 26th, as suggested, and I will probably spend a lot of tomorrow writing, because OMG TOMORROW WE START AT [livejournal.com profile] heroes_vortex (right?) and, woo boy, I still have a lot of backstory to do. (And [livejournal.com profile] moorishflower used Gabrielle in something she wrote about Sanjog and, aww, it was so good ♥)

And I swear I'll have Saturday done... by Saturday, lol. It's hard to come up with a reason for this scene to happen, the other ones were way easier. But I brought this on myself, so I must continue! Failure is not an option! FORWAAAARD

Oh. I just realized I forgot to take my meds today. (Baby, did you forget to take your meds? Yes, Brian Molko, I did ;__; ) That could explain a bit of my headache. Of course, the unconscious jaw-clenching has something to do with it, too. Seriously, I don't know what's up but my whole face feels so tense...

My mom was all concerned earlier. She stuck her head in my room and asked "Are you feeling okay?" I was like, "um, yeah...?" "Well, you've just been a lot quieter than usual the past few days."

...Quieter than usual? My usual isn't all that loud. Aside from spending more time on my computer (I know, how is that possible, ha ha.) I've been pretty much doing what I always do. Minus the baking, I haven't done any of that beyond breaking apart pre-made cookie dough on... I did it on the 20th, but she didn't see that... the 12th?

Well, no wonder, if the last time she actively saw me operate an oven was ten days ago and I was crying while I did it. Yeah, I guess I have been quiet this week. Aside from the internet, I never shut up here. :D

Oh my god, if it actually gets up to 40 degrees today, I am going for a walk. A long walk.

you twits.

  • 12:52 I had a dream that Sylar took up knitting. It makes a lot of sense, actually... he'd be able to keep count of stitches well. xD #
  • 14:03 So hungry... too lazy to make anything more complicated than oatmeal. Even PB&J seems like work. #
  • 15:56 me + shower + food + lulz = ...exhaustion? I am taking my cat, whether he likes it or not, and taking a nap. #
  • 21:45 My parents are worrying about me because I've "been quieter than usual the past few days." My life is basically: sleep, write, eat, sleep. #
  • 00:04 Okay, seriously? Wtf is with all the random Twitter adds? YOU PEOPLE SCARE ME. AT LEAST INTRODUCE YOURSELF. Otherwise, you are spam to me. #
  • 01:33 Ugh, done with today, goodnight. #
LoudTwitter is looooud

It's going to take a little bit of time to adjust to how completely fucking awesome things will be. And I know it's not going to be like this the whole four years... but omg, this is a good start, DO WANT.

Most trivially, Bush's stringent "everyone wears their suit jacket in the Oval Office" rule has been tossed out. The better to ogle our new Mr. President.

Robert Gibbs' first press briefing triples the attendance of Bush's final one. And the fourth estate loves their trivial questions, which is a problem not because there are things to hide, but because it's fucking annoying to be under a microscope. I feel bad for Obama. It seems like the President is incredibly curtailed in his private life already, and what he does get, the paparazzi are slavering over already.

I mean, seriously. Critiquing the Obamas' dance moves for interlocking their fingers while they dance? Hello, they're in love, not competing on a tv show. Picking apart Michelle's wardrobe? I don't remember this happening to Laura Bush... then again Michelle is way hotter than Laura, so...

Also, selling dolls named "Sasha" and "Malia" and then claiming that has nothing to do with the Obama girls? Uh, how stupid do you think we are, Ty? Beanie Babies are so 1997, anyway.

Not related to the Big O's takeover, but the FDA has approved embryonic stem cell trials. The first studies will involve injections within two weeks of accidents that turn people into paraplegics. How fucking stoked would you be to be the first person who gets to walk again after a life-changing accident? I really hope these trials have good results.

The global gag rule is getting the axe! Finally, family planning and contraceptive-distribution groups that offer abortion as an option are getting funded again. This rule has been bounced back and forth with every new President swapping the party in power. He didn't sign the order yesterday, which was the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which irritates some people but really, would have just been a slap in the face to the pro-life community. I would never have heard the end of it from my mother, had this been done yesterday...

WhiteHouse.gov may be hosting daily press pool reports. Direct source to satisfy your political needs? I don't have the attention span, but I bet other people will eat this up. xD

Ah, refreshing.

...you know, it's nice to have a "political delight" tag to go with my previous "political outrage" tag. :D

Okay, so I wrote a little piece of shameless fluff... but aside from that, today has been all reading fic and catching my mom up to the last three episodes of Heroes (with plenty of "NATHAN YOU SUCK" and "OMG SYLARRRRRR" commentary). On the plus side, I am now up to "Best One Shot", and I got a refresher that will be handy for writing Saturday... on the minus side, I haven't started it yet, and I'm stalled out on the Gabrielle thing I'm writing.

Wooo, head rush! What the hell?

The temperature got up to 40 today, but the wind chill was a bitch. I'm anxiously awaiting our YMCA memberships to come through so I can DO SOMETHING already. Run, swim, freaking SOMETHING. (swimming, omg, I miss swimming D: )

Today's awesome thing: It's a bookmark AND a USB drive, AND it's shaped like horn-rimmed glasses! Real ones, not Noah Bennet's. His aren't actually horn-rimmed glasses, despite the whole HRG thing.

I need to want to write! I need to WANT it!

Dude. When you get in a Magnetic Fields mood, it is best not to try to resist. Because Stephin Merritt will not take no for an answer.

I finished all of section 1 for the awards! \o/ Now I will not read for a few days and focus on writing. Hopefully this will work.

Well, it better, because [livejournal.com profile] heroes_vortex opens tonight. :D :D :D Speaking of which, I need more Ando icons, stat.

Remember when I was talking about prompt tables... uh, yesterday? I'm considering this one or #12 on this page. I don't actually do these for the communities, they're just for my own amusement...

I should make a Magnetic Fields post. They're freaking awesome. xD I have some good covers of them, too. It could be epic. Maybe next week...

Oh, DUH. There is Write or Die. I should use that. *facepalm* I think I will. Now.
