does FBI stand for Female Body Inspector?

White Collar is spoiling me for every other show on TV by giving me exactly what I want even when I didn't know I wanted it. If you are not watching this show, you are missing out on some quality characters, seriously.

Neal singing! ♥

I have to wake up at 8 tomorrow if I'm going to make it to my appointment, because my mother has an appointment at 9 so she has to drop me off early. I think this is a load of balls, but what can I do about it?

I am sad about the Fall Out Boy news. I have a feeling that they're going back on my heavy rotation playlist in a big way now. Seeing them in concert was one of the most awesome musical experiences of my life, but now when I think back to that time I'm just sad about everything I've lost between then and now.

Sometimes I really wish I still had a best friend, that's all.

Today is my mommy's birthday! She is now 46. It's scary to think that she's getting that old because it means I'm getting pretty old too. She had me when she was 21, so she's kind of young compared to a lot of my contemporaries' parents.

I worry about her. She's been crying an awful lot lately. She's always been kind of hairtrigger with the tears but it's getting really bad and there's nothing I can do to comfort her because mostly she's worried that she and my father are going to be fired and if the Salvation Army kicks them out, they literally have nothing. The Salvation Army owns everything: our house, both cars, my parents' health insurance that they really, really cannot afford to lose, everything we need to live.

It just makes me sick to think that my parents would have thrown away eleven of the prime years of their lives to an institution that so obviously doesn't give a damn about them. Plus there's no way my father could go back to work with his Menier's disease fucking him up, so my mom would have to be the sole supporter of the house (except I would obviously get a job and do my part, because I might be a freeloader but I'm not a douchebag). She still has her RN's license and there are plenty of hospitals nearby enough that she could definitely get a job, but... we wouldn't have any place to live. Or any way for her to get to work.

Okay, I'm going to start crying myself if I think about this much longer. SO HELP ME OUT AND DISTRACT ME WITH A MEME:

Give me one character and I will tell you:

1. OTP for them.
2. Runner-up pairing.
3. Honourable mention(s).
4. Crack pairing(s).
5. Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't.

...I do have fandoms besides Heroes, if anyone feels like mixing it up a little. :P

The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality

According to my answers, it is likely that I identify as
Concurrent bisexual.

Complete set of results

Concurrent bisexual: 5
Heterosexual with some homosexuality: 4
Sequential bisexual: 4
Homosexual with some heterosexuality: 1
Past heterosexual, currently homosexual: 1
Asexual: 0
Heterosexual: 0
Homosexual: 0
Past homosexual, currently heterosexual: 0

Information

The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality was devised by Larry Kurdek, B. Berkey and T. Perelman-Hall. It is an extension of the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid, recognising that sexual identities can change over time, people can identify with more than one sexual identity, and that asexuality is a valid sexual identity. The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality was published in the "Journal of Homosexuality" in 1990.

Take the quiz

Yeah, I needed a test to reinforce my bisexuality... because I totally wasn't convinced that I'm bi by now. Right.

...except all of my threesome icons are either three guys or two guys and a girl! oh no! Quick, someone get me a shot of Astrid and Olivia and Peter standing together! And yeah, that is the only fandom I can think of multiple female characters I really like. Is that bad? Or sad? Or am I really a fandom misogynist?

Waaaaaait, there's a meme to take care of this, and it gives me a good excuse to look at lots of pictures of pretty ladies. AWESOME. Expect that meme later tonight.

My ten favorite female characters in anything ever, as of this moment, in no particular order:

(see icon: honorable mention: Leslie Winkle. Kickass lady physicist, taunter of Sheldon, smarter than you.)

cut because of decently-sized images of pure awesome )

So those are the ten most awesome women on the screen, in my humble opinion. NOW YOU PLAY!

Comment and I'll give you a letter, then you have to list ten people/places/things you love that begin with that letter, afterward post it on your journal and fill out letters of your own.

[livejournal.com profile] comically_so gave me P. Which is really hard!

1. Peter Burke. I just put him and his wife up on the wall of my bedroom. ♥ He's my favorite male FBI agent. Well, on TV, you know. I don't have an actual favorite FBI agent, but it would be kind of cool if I did...

2. Princess Bride. It's my favorite movie of all time. In fact, I'm about due to rewatch it. Maybe I'll do that tonight after I catch up with Heroes.

3. Psych. I've fallen behind (by a couple of seasons) but I love me some Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. ♥ I have quite a bit downloaded, I just need to sit down with it!

4. Psychology. It's very interesting to me, and I'm probably going to minor in it at Wells. It's going to be important for me to know a lot about it as a social worker. Plus, it helps keep me from going completely off the rails. :D

5. Placebo. Excellent band. I used to play them all the time back when I had a radio show. I always forgot to censor the line "spunk and bestiality" in one song... never got in trouble for it though. :D

6. [livejournal.com profile] perdiccas! Yeah, she's awesome and I love her. ♥ If you don't know her, you are missing out on one seriously cool person in your life.

7. Porn Battle. I only wrote two things for it, but that's pretty damn good considering I've barely written anything in the past few months! It kickstarted my creative urges, so I'm very glad I got to participate in it this time around!

8. PaperbackSwap.com. I have gotten almost the entire Southern Vampire Mysteries series through that site in the past month or two, and all it cost me was shipping for an equal number of books. That makes it about $2.25 per book, which is a damn sight better than any used book store I know of, and there aren't even any used bookstores around me. I love this site to bits. I've been using it for years and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to read!

9. Pickles. Bread and butter pickles, to be precise. I also like sweet gherkins and dill pickles, but bread and butter pickles are my favorite.

10. Pomegranates. They can be messy to eat, but they're so delicious, and they're full of antioxidants! Plus, Persephone ate a few of the seeds of one of them, and that's why we have winter. (I don't like winter, just to be clear on that.)

I blame all this memery on the fact that I am running on three hours of sleep and a large coffee twelve hours ago. I'm a little bit punchy, is all. No original thoughts in my head, I need direction, and memes are that!
