This weekend I have not listened to any music, I have not read any books, I have not written anything, I haven't done much besides watch Sherlock Holmes with a brief break for Quantum Leap with my mother. I polished off the first two seasons and started on the third just now, and I have to say I kind of miss the first Watson, but the second one seems pretty good so i'm not complaining. Not unrelatedly, I have no fingernails left, because watching people smoke pipes and cigarettes constantly really kicks my oral fixation into high gear. I have also demolished quite a bit of a large bag of Skittles.

Really, that is all I've done today. Watch the series and read fanfiction and occasionally answer people on OKCupid, which has been suspiciously active for me today, I don't know why all of a sudden people are messaging me. And Facebook, because if I ignore my farm for a day everything goes to hell. Seriously, the game has me trained, it's kind of absurd.

So I've had a very, very lazy weekend, and intend on carrying on much in the same manner for the next few days barring going to class tomorrow.

As a thought exercise, just imagine if the Tea Party was black. Imagine what would have happened if, say, a group of black protestors spat on a white politician and called him foul things. Or if, in support of the Second Amendment, a group of black people with guns showed up in Washington, D.C. The examples are more numerous and better explicated in the link, and it really is something to think about... why are we allowing these people to get away with these things... just because they're white?
