The fireworks were mediocre but it was a good night anyway.

I don't know why it took me so long to watch the Justin Timberlake/Lady Gaga SNL, but I finally did and I laughed harder than I have all year.

I seem to have gotten a slight sunburn at the oxbow today. I am surprised, because usually I reflect the entire spectrum of light... but I'm glad that it's minor and doesn't hurt.

It does my soul good to soak up the landscape of the Adirondacks. We've been driving back and forth to Jay all week and it never bothers me because the scenery is so gorgeous.

Unfortunately, tomorrow is my day of departure. Dennis and I have to meet our parents in Albany by 3pm and then we're all driving up to Maine. I'm not sure whether we're going to Massachusetts the day after that or Friday. I'm not even sure whether Julia's coming or not. Also I am not sure whether all my stuff has fleas in it now because Angus has them. I really hope not.

This has been a really good vacation. I'm very glad I did have the chance to come to Plattsburgh this summer after all.
