My faithful one-hitter fell off my lap and onto concrete parking lot and smashed into pieces.
;_; I loved that pipe. It was a gift from Jake when he quit doing drugs. I used that piece the whole time I was at Wells last year. It was so small and convenient.
I am not pipeless-- I still have Sherlock-- but Julia doesn't like Sherlock as much, and he takes more to pack a bowl.
I am considering replacing the one-hitter at some point this week if I can make it to the local head shop. I'd prefer to get one in Ithaca, but I don't think I can justify going to Ithaca just to buy a pipe.
Aside from that, though, last night was not that bad. Julia and I went to Syracuse to buy her new iPod, and one of the Geniuses complimented my ink. I figured out that he had to mean the (...) because that was all that was visible from where he was standing. He was adorable and long haired and slightly pudgy and wearing a pentacle necklace. Then we went to buy movie tickets, and the guy at the ticket counter started talking about his uncle's cat who was part bobcat because my credit card has a kitten on it. :D
Captain America was pretty good. Julia said it was too predictable, and it was very predictable, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Also, hot DAMN, Howard Stark. Apparently I have a thing for Starks and not just for Tony. (Well, I mean, they fit my type-- dark haired, brilliant, can carry off their facial hair choices.)
Guess what I didn't do last night! If you said "slept" then A WINNAR IS YOU. I tried but spent the entire night-- I'm talking from 1:15 until 6-- rolling onto my left side, settling in, rolling onto my right side, settling in, rolling on my back, sighing. I didn't try sleeping on my front, maybe that would have worked, but I got tired of it around when the sun came up. I went back to bed around 8:30 and drifted around in my semiconscious landscape until 1. I honestly don't know how much actual sleep I got or how many of those "dreams" were just unguided daydreams. That happens more often than I usually admit to.
This morning the PODS people dropped off our storage unit. So I guess we can start bringing up the boxes from the basement now. All my books and DVDs are going to go into the back of the unit so if thieves get into it, they won't see my stuff, probably. I'm not so worried about my clothes, but I am fiercely possessive of my library.
LJ is working on and off for me, so I'm going to try to post this again...
So that one-hitter I broke yesterday has already been replaced. The new one is white and green and brown, and I am calling it Watson, because it's smaller than Sherlock but looks like it will be both potent and steadfast.
I also picked up three DVDs for $2 each, and a really cute t-shirt. And we got dinner at the waffle bar. So that's the last of my birthday money. I'm amazed it lasted this long, honestly.
I am bidding on a six piece set of Vera Bradley items in the Night Owl pattern. Night Owl is the only pattern I actually like by Vera Bradley, and I am willing to fight for this set-- which it looks like I'm going to have to. I just hope it doesn't break $100, I don't think I could beg more than that away from my parents if it exceeds what I have in my bank account now. I really, really want to win this auction. One of the items is a curling iron cover which I really don't need because I don't own a curling iron, but I'm sure I could repurpose it.
I was supposed to go to Albany with Rachael tomorrow to take advantage of the Borders closing sale in the Crossgates Mall, but I spent all the money I was planning on spending there today in Ithaca. And anyways, my father has told me many, many times not to buy any more books or DVDs. I don't even know where Rachael is or when she's planning on leaving or anything. And by the time I get there, there's probably not going to be anything good left. There hasn't been any other time I've made it to a Borders closing sale. :/
Sour grapes, whatever, if I convince myself it isn't worth it then I won't feel so cheated. Or something.

I don't have to wait for the Avengers movie, right? It's okay for me to read this now...
I mean, what I think I'm actually saying is, does anyone have any more of this? Because it's kind of fantastic. I'm going to resist the urge to look for a Captain America kink meme for a few more days if I can, though. Because seriously, I'm approaching kink meme burnout.
In other news, my father is watching the Lady Gaga episode of Glee. I am always entertained by the fact that he watches Glee, but this episode makes it even more amusing.

In light of LJ going down more often than a really busy whore the past couple days, does anyone want a Dreamwidth invite code? I know, most of you already have DWs, but I figured it was a good time to make the offer, just in case.
