The Mountain Goats were awesome, as always. I will never get over how fucking much I love John Darnielle. Just seeing his face makes me 100000x more happy. And I actually took down a set list this time, which I forgot to do in Ithaca. And they opened with Wild Sage, which is probably my single most listened to Mountain Goats song of all time. And I got it on camera, although I haven't reviewed the footage to see if it's any good.

We did not stay for Bright Eyes because Julia felt sick and it was hot and kind of miserable and the Mountain Goats went on early so there was going to be a super long wait for Bright Eyes to come on, and I am not really sad about that. I wish I could have stayed for a couple of songs, but it's fine. I don't feel bereft or anything. I haven't listened to Bright Eyes since like 2006 so I probably wouldn't have known most of the stuff they played anyway.

When we got home we watched more Skins. I really, really love JJ and I wish more people loved him too. And I love Naomi and Emily and their awkwardness. We have two episodes left to go in season 3 and then it's on to season 4. We'll have it done by the end of the week.

I started writing last night and I think I'm actually going to get somewhere with it. I am trying not to jinx myself, and I figure if I make a point of writing for a half an hour before bed every night, something might get done. I wouldn't have started writing if I hadn't found one of my old notebooks almost totally empty and felt the compulsion to fill it. A good notebook will do that to you.

My mother emailed Dean McCarthy and then called him like five times today, and he agreed to let me move my stuff back to campus on the 16th. So I have to get my family to help me bunk the beds, pile all my crap up, and take care of unpacking on the 24th when l_loire brings me to school. I think that's doable.
