My father asked me last night what my definition of a friend is.

I think he thinks I'm a doormat. And I think he might be right. I do let people walk all over me more often than I should in the name of keeping the peace and being a good friend. I keep my mouth shut a lot of the time when I have critical things to say, because I don't want to upset people. And when someone's wrong, I don't always tell them, because I don't like to cause conflict.

I really need to work on the difference between being assertive and being a bitch, and stop being such a pushover.
