femmealunettes: (omg! :D : Chuck)
So that big plan to reach 155 by October just went RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW because today Brian and April and I went to the Altamont County Fair and it is impossible to go to a fair without eating fair food, so I had Italian sausage and fried dough with apples and lemonade and apple cider doughnuts and a cup of apple cider that is the best thing I have tasted in months, fuck, I love apple cider, it is my favorite beverage! And I bought a lot of candy.

AND THE BEST THING: I WON AN ANGRY BIRD. I hate fair games, they're all rigged, but when I saw one with Angry Birds plushies I had to play until I won, so now I am the proud owner of a super-soft red bird. I love red bird. He is the cutest of the birds. Although I prefer yellow bird and bomb bird for gameplay, red bird is the cutest.

And I pet sheep and horses, and looked at goats and bunnies and cows, and we walked through the rides even though we didn't ride anything, and looked at all the exhibits of old farmhouse stuff and horse-drawn carriages and circus stuff from like the 30s, and an old schoolhouse that was built in the 1850s.

And then when we got back, April started doing research into my family geneaology, and I discovered that there are a lot of cops in the Cregan side of the family, which makes me laugh because my brother and cops do not mix well. My great-grandfather was actually a police chief in Ohio! April found out a lot about the Cregans, but nothing yet about the Mellos and the Iannuzzos and the Ahlers, and I can't really help with that because I don't know jack about my family past my grandparents, except for Nana and Poppy who aren't even biologically related to me, anyway. You can really tell my genetic makeup from the names in my family. Cregan is very Irish, Mello is super common in New Bedford which is mostly Portuguese, Iannuzzo just sounds Italian, and well Ahlers doesn't sound that German to me but I don't know anything about German so it might.

So today was a good day, even though I didn't really wake up until almost 2:30, because I accidentally packed my sleeping pills in with my Wells stuff, so I took two Xanax to knock me out instead, and it kept me knocked out for like 14 hours. So I'm not going to do that again. I'm very sad I was stupid about my medication, because now I am going to HAVE to unpack all of my boxes when I get to Wells until I find all my pill bottles, because I have exactly enough medication with me to make it back to Wells on Wednesday so if I don't find it that day, I am going to be off my meds and that is a Bad Thing. I think I might have an idea where they are, but I'm not positive. I really do not want to start my semester off my medication. That would suck.

But anyway. Today was great, tomorrow is also going to be great, Saturday is going to be extra great. I'm very pleased with life right now.
