femmealunettes: (music is life.)
I am going to another concert! Andrew Bird is playing Rochester in October, pretty much right after we get back from fall break. Will posted about it on Facebook, I immediately leapt right on that, and then Jason and Chuck said they wanted to go when I reposted the information... and I think one more person responded to Will's post, so that's a full car. I love going to concerts with people whose company I enjoy, it's way better than going to concerts alone, or with your ex-boyfriend. And Andrew Bird is so enjoyable. Give me indie or give me death!

I just painted my nails orange. Bright, sparkly orange. I generally don't like the color orange, but I like yellow even less... I bought this color for my ill-fated Nyan Cat nails project, and this is the first time I've done more than two of my nails in it. It's... very bright. But it matches my fox shirt pretty well, so I'm going to leave it at least until tomorrow. I might repaint them blue to go with the TARDamask shirt.

I had bizarre dreams last night. I remember waking up after something particularly bloody and thinking to myself "No, fuck that, I am not starting my day with that in my head." So I went back to sleep (I sleep pretty shallowly after about 6am these days, I could get up earlier than 9:15 if I had the inclination to do so), and then I had a dream about spies and cars that weren't cars and sneaking around, and also about trying to explain the difference between Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, so music even gets into my dreams now. (And the difference is in the band members, both bands have the same frontman, which I couldn't remember while I was asleep.)

Anyway. I have to go to work, and if I don't have real work to do for the whole four hours I'm there, I'm going to get my homework done. Then I have a meeting with Kristie Zieler in which I get to prove that I am not manic, then a Psych Club meeting to decorate our board, then dinner and more homework, then SAGA at 8 and Sex Collective at 9. In SAGA we're discussing trans issues, which... I don't really feel qualified to speak about, and I'm not sure how this discussion is going to go with almost entirely cisgendered people, and whether the single trans person I know about will self-identify, then it just looks like a room full of cis people. If anyone has a good article (or blog post) about trans issues, I would super appreciate a link. And in Sex Collective we're talking about exhibitionism and voyeurism, which aren't really my thing, so I don't plan on having too much to say at all tonight.

I am anxiously awaiting the changing of the leaves. I want to see fall colors to go along with these fall temperatures, please.
