Kristin's going to her mother's house for some sick-time TLC, and I'm going to do what I usually do when I'm alone... listen to my music real loud, make a halfhearted attempt to clean, watch Butcher careen off the walls, maybe watch a movie. I should watch a movie, I have to catch up on the reviewing thing. I can't give up when it's still only January.
Apparently, Tyler LaTour found/was given/came into possession of what he believed to be a Siberian Husky dog, and when he took it to the veterinarian he was told that it was, in fact, a wolf, and he needed to get rid of it. Robbie later reported seeing Tyler peel past on his bike with the wolfdog in hot pursuit.
HOW does one take a wolf home and try to feed it puppy chow? Wouldn't there be some sort of clue that what you had was a feral hunter and not a collar-free backyard-bred muttling?
Ah, the north country. Brilliance abounds.
I should probably walk to Kinney's, because day 2 without the 'Pro, but it's still nastily cold out. 13 degrees and dropping isn't getting me anywhere on foot.
What I should also do is not bother with trollbaiters on cute-photo communities. Seriously, some people have nothing better to do with their time, but I'm not one of them. This does give me impetus to gather up my kitty photos and post a few, though.
Speaking of kitties, have I mentioned how ridiculous Minerva looks with her poor post-op shaved tummy? Because she looks hilarious, and so put-out about it. They even fixed her belly hernia, so no more worrying about kitty insides popping out. >>
Also speaking of kitties, PetCo is having a going out of business sale, but I don't think I'll be able to get up there before they actually close, and even if I did I won't have money until Kelly pays me back. It would be nice to be able to stock up on cat treats and rat bedding, though. :/
Sad Kermit sings Hurt. This is quite probably the most sacreligious Muppets parody I have ever seen. Poor Kermit. (warning: muppet drug abuse, prostitution, disturbing themes) xD

Random question, but what's it like having a rat as a pet? I'm considering having one or a chinchilla. Maybe even a degu. (love them!) I'm just kinda lazy and want to avoid losing a finger. *g*
Having a rat as a pet is very low-key. xD Wherever you go, look at all of the rats, hold them if you can, find one with clear eyes and healthy-looking fur, but most of all find one that likes you. The first time I picked Heather up she licked my fingers and chittered at me. ♥
They're super easy to take care of-- change the cage once every week or two, keep them fed and watered, give them something to chew on, and let them come out and run around on you, and they'll be happy. They're really smart, so if you have the inclination to, you could teach one how to use a litter corner and save you some cage-changing time. xD
I've owned rats on and off since I was nine, and I've only ever once been bitten hard enough to make me bleed. Generally, rats are some of the most affectionate pets around.
