It's part the phone, part that they record at like 16kbps.

I would do that if I wasn't lazy. xD And if that didn't show too much effort on my part to getting my lame karaoke attempts online.

16kbps? That low? Even 96kbps sounds like crap...LJ needs to get their shit together. Just record it into Audacity or pirate a copy of Adobe Audition and use that...but it would still sound crappy if you have a crappy mic and/or soundcard...but it would still sound a hell of a lot better than 16 kbps cell phone recordings. If you're going to geek out (even with bad karaoke recordings), might as well geek out all the way! (most people who do karaoke don't exactly have stellar singing voices to begin with, or they sing the worst drivel known to humankind...case in point: American Idol-nothing more than a nationally televised karaoke contest).

I am not sure if the movie is still showing tomorrow... my brother told me it was ending today. I do still have two of them, so if it's not over, you are very much welcome to have those back, and thank you so very much for them in the first place, I took like 20 people to the movies today! :D
