So my ingenious "Jesus Christ it's a lion! Get in the tub!" scheme did not work on Butcher as well as I thought it would. However, we both made it through unscathed: he did not claw me, and I did not wring his scrawny little neck. xD He's still wet, but surprisingly not that mad at me. He only calmed down for the last 15 seconds or so of being rinsed off.

He got a bath, I got a shower and a headache, and soon we're both going to bed. I'm working hard toward getting my links post done, but it may end up waiting until tomorrow afternoon for maximum linkage.

I am very, very happy tonight. ^_^ I also sort of wish I knew how to make vids, because I have two ideas that I think are pretty awesome... and they're both het, what is this season doing to me? *ahem.* It's kind of nice because I can finally squee with my mom over something, though. She's totally taken by how cute and oblivious Matt is for Daphne.

Two more episodes tomorrow, and then she can actually watch the new one with me on Monday! \o/

Wooo boy. Tomorrow I am going to try to remember the shopping list for necessary items, and then make veggie curry for dinner. I found a few really, really interesting pie recipes, so I want to go all Ned, too... but I'm waffling between cranberry cheesecake pie and cream-cheese swirled pumpkin pie. Om nom fuckin' a nom!

Okay. Last thing before bed, I guess. [livejournal.com profile] beachkid linked me to this amazing video about a pet lion who remembered his parents after he went into the wilds of Africa. SO. CUTE. I got tears in my eyes, seriously.

That video is the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture of the bathtub cat.

Yeah, girl, you go all piemaker! Also, what is your preferred pie crust recipe? I would like to make good crust, but I am also scared !

I used a vegan crust recipe once...

The Crust:
2 cups flour
1/3 cup water
2/3 cup olive oil

1. Mix, then cut in half: one for the bottom crust, the other half for the top.
2. Roll out first half into a circular shape and fit into a pie pan. Sprinkle cinnamon on the bottom crust.

Usually I use my mom's recipe, but my recipe book is down in the kitchen and my (scary, grumpy) father is between me and it right now. :O I can type it up for you tomorrow, though!

I'll write down the vegan recipe because it might come in handy one day.

But I LOVE me some BUTTER! Thanks!

Ah... my mother's recipe doesn't call for butter either! Here it is, though:

2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup oil
~1/3 cup milk

Mix and roll on wax paper.

Of course, you can always butter the pie pan and brush melted butter on the top crust... or check allrecipies.com for a buttery crust recipe. ♥

And once you learn how to make videos, educate me!

And those pies? Send them right over once you are done. One or the other or both.
XD

I am so obsessed with him... I'm kind of sad I changed my layout for winter, but I'm leaving him in my profile and all my icons! Zachary Quinto is delicious. ♥

That process for me was so gradual and from one moment to the next, it happened. The flist helped. Seeing so many Sylar icons was just feeding my eyes and besides, I welcomed the switch in the second season. I liked Peter in the first, disliked Sylar and then second season happened and hi Zach! I love you too.
So I understand all the fuss and adoration for the guy. And he's gorgeously hot.
