Holy shit, Yuletide assignments went out today! You know what this means.


Hello, dear writer! :D I am thrilled to have you writing for me. Thank you for offering in my fandoms-- obviously I don't know which one yet, but three out of the four are *effing* rare, while one of them is just rare and I have never seen my OT3 written, so no matter what you do you are making me a happy, happy panda. ♥

I am a slasher (obviously), and the fact that I even have a het request on here is surprising. I have a dirty mind, but I won't be (too) disappointed if things turn out on the shallow end of PG-13. If you can do funny (not cracky or slapstick, just humorous) or lush descriptive, chances are you will not have to try very hard to make me go :D :D :D :D I am not big on the angst side of the force, but I have been reading and enjoying a pretty broad spread of genres lately, so don't feel constrained please!

Okay! Let me elaborate on my requests, and hopefully this will help you out. Honestly, I am super easy to please, so don't stress out! I know a lot of people (myself included) freak about their assignments, but I urge you to be chill. xD

[1] Little Miss Sunshine- Dwayne Hoover/Frank Ginsberg
[Dwayne relished his silence. Frank helps him learn the power of harnessing the right words, aloud and written.]
As a writer, I have a writer kink. Which is kind of masturbatory, if you think about it, which I don't. xD This movie broke my heart and swept up the pieces, but especially Frank did. The whole concept of him losing everything and ending up with his sister's family, but then having his nephew actually listen, and they understand each other, and I am not being coherent here but... I guess my request is as much about the mentor/student, uncle/nephew relationship as it is about their friendship. Frank has a lot to teach, and Dwayne seems like the kind of (familiar) person who would grow like a weed in the light of the right person's attention.

[2] Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus- Diane Arbus/Lionel Sweeney
[A fairytale reimagining of the movie-- obviously with shades of Beauty and the Beast, but feel free to weave in other myths. Bonus points for an elegantly-handled sex scene. Happy ending not a must but strongly encouraged.]
I really don't have a lot to add to this one-- if you've seen the movie, it speaks for itself. I'm a total sucker for fairy tale/mythology retellings/fusions, and also a sucker for Robert Downey Jr. and Nicole Kidman. (I have never once seen fic for this movie, so if you do this one, you are a PIONEER!)

[3] Gears of War- Augustus Cole, Dominic Santiago, Damon Baird/Marcus Fenix
[Post- Gears 1 fic. Going through 36 hours of hell together undeniably binds people, but it's the downtime where they get to know each other. Dom/Marcus friendship, Baird/Cole friendship, but most especially Marcus/Baird romance, pleasepleaseplease!]
And by romance I mean hatesex, obviously, because romance is not a big factor in either of those men's personalities. xD I can't explain my obsession with Gears aside from that I spent all summer long watching my friends play the campaign through many times, and the whole ruined-world, military-bonds-of-compatriotship, laughing-in-the-face-of-death thing is a surprise turn-on? I love the steady solid friendship that Dom and Marcus have, and the mockingly-caring friendship of Cole and Baird, but really it's the sniping between the taciturn ex-con leader and the bitchy brilliant engineer that revs my Lancer, lol.

[4] Jim Butcher - The Dresden Files - Harry Dresden/John Marcone/Thomas Raith
[One hell of a mission gone wrong. Harry, Gentleman Johnnie, and Thomas get stuck somewhere, Thomas is seriously feeling the Hunger, Harry's almost out of mojo, and John. well, isn't being very helpful. Clearly, porn is the answer. :D]
I can't help it. I have been craving fic where Thomas feeds off of Harry for pretty much since Thomas showed up. No one has written it. Help me, Yuletide-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope! Honestly, if you can deliver the funny, you can pretty much do whatever you want with this story. People who write for this fandom are way better at coming up with things than I am at suggesting them. As long as you have Thomas taking a nibble off Harry, or at least John, then I will be super-pleased. xD
