femmealunettes: (caution: no-brainer)
I woke up with a headache and it followed me around allllll day long. I've been trying so hard to write and it's like dragging my brain through cold molasses.

This month I am not seeing myself exceeding my goal word count. It's good that I've been overachieving because I can still feel victorious without doubling my goal xD That said, I am suddenly feeling entirely out-performed, not in word count but in quality. People write so much better. I feel like an amateur. *kicks myself in my ass* This is stupid and self-indulgent, but I still feel it. I'll probably feel better by tomorrow night, I just have to FINISH something.

My dad got me the ~BIG~ bag of Skittles. Now I have a use for all those empty pill bottles! I won't eat them all at once. One dose at a time. xD Awesome.

Does anyone have tips on staying hydrated? I can never do eight glasses of water a day. I'm lucky if I do two. There's got to be some way to trick myself into drinking more water...

I like watching Butcher sleep. He looks so peaceful. I just wanna fuck with him. :D

Here, watch James Kyson Lee indoor skydiving.

I drink iced green tea - I make a big thing of it with 3 or 4 teabags and sip it all day. There is no sugar, no calories and it tastes good, much better than plain old water.

And its hella good for you too. ^_^

That's an idea... I just don't like green tea, lol. If I could have iced chai with me all day long..... xD

I've done Crystal Light, I'm just not that big on it. Sometimes I just squirt lemon juice in the glass and that helps, something about the powdered stuff does weird things to my mouth.

I think the idea of making yourself drink 64oz of water daily is crazy. Also, people don't hydrate the same. If you're sweating a lot or live in dry climates or something where you are dehydrating yourself, then yeah you should put more in.

I don't like drinking plain water because I think it tastes gross. I put in those flavored powder straw things (and only a little over half because a whole tube is too much). And as far as caffeine being dehydrating, I read an article saying that yes it's true but for certain amounts and above (sorry I can't remember how much exactly). So one soda might not necessarily be dehydrating (it is still mostly water).

Unless you're getting headaches or otherwise feeling ill and you think it's related to dehydration, I wouldn't stress about getting in those damn eight glasses. Do you always have water on hand? Because if I have to get up to get it, I'll be like, ehh I'm not that thirsty anyway..

And, if I were you, I would separate the Skittles by color to put in the rx bottles but that's because I like to organize and separate !

AGH I already put them in the pill bottles and now my slight case of OCD makes me want to take them all out and sort them! NOOOOOOOO

I hardly drink water at all, but I drink soda even less. There is literally only diet orange soda in this house, and I HATE how it tastes. I drink a lot of orange juice because that's the only goddamn thing that my mother can't get sugar-free. >.>

I think I read something about hydration helping with weight loss, that's the only reason I'm concerned about it now. xD

oops sorry! I would help sort them if I could because, well, I would love it.

Maybe because it keeps your belly full of water and not food, haha. Low fat dairy products can prevent some of the fat from the rest of your diet from being absorbed. And I've heard that grapefruit helps, too (but watch the acid).

I prefer diet drinks and sugar-less or sugar free things, and it's shocking how much sugar juice has. (Not when you actually think about it, but because it's like, oh but I thought juice is so healthy!) Basically I look at weight as calories in vs how active you are. And pilates does kick your ass, but it's kicking it in a good way. Although I prefer yoga as well. (I used to go 4-5 times a week for almost two hours a class. I wish I could find an awesome studio around me now.) I'm probably the last person who should advise others about diet and exercise because I eat what I want and I don't exercise. :(

I was going to suggest green tea but your friend upstairs already made that suggestion.
So yes.

As people have been suggesting, tea is the way forward! I'm more of a hot tea fan myself. And I drink like, five cups a day. Not because I'm all, "OH GOD MY CELLS WILL SHRIVEL AND DIE," but because I'm all, "OH GOD MY TITS COULD CUT DIAMONDS." Because I'm blessed with the magical ability of freezing, apparently. But drinking tea keeps me well hydrated at the same time, so. Yes. Low body temperature. Well done me!

James is so adorable, omg. <3

I lost thirty pounds by drinking a gallon of water a day for about three or four months. If you drink it all out of the same container, it helps to be able to see your progress throughout the day.

Granted, I had to pee a lot. And it's easier if it's summertime. But it's do-able.

@_@ Maybe a half-gallon a day plus exercise four times a week will work out for me. Cause I know I can't do a gallon.
