I can see a lot of bright in you

Well. It's a good thing I have no money, or I would... have no money. 60 pills of Geodon = $582

whatthefuck how do they expect CRAZY PEOPLE to make enough money to get the pills to become SANE PEOPLE? Ugh. I hate capitalism. And I want to drive a nail through the, I don't know, some non-deadly body part, of everyone who opposes universal health care, in a big old "FUCK YOU" from everyone who needs these meds and can't get them.

Sigh.

Anyhow here are the last of the top fives.

[livejournal.com profile] blossommorphine wanted to know:

The colors, Duke! THE COLORS!
1. Grey/silver (specifically mourning dove grey, slate grey, Butcher grey, and stormcloud grey)
2. Light blue, like the peak of the sky at twilight blue
3. Frog green
4. Garnet red (not ruby, rubies are too pink, which is why I'd totally get a garnet and call it my birthstone anyway)
5. Really-good-weed orange. If you know what I mean, you know exactly the color.

Wastin' time...
1. Futzing around LJ/reading fanfic
2. Sleeping
3. Reading
4. Watching TV on my computer
5. Doing crossword puzzles

Goood food... bad food!
1. Double-thick milkshakes
2. Chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.
3. Pringles
4. Soda of any kind (but especially when mixed with liquor, lol)
5. Tiramisu

Technically, I could just pin this in with "kinks I blame on fandom" and "favorite tropes" but I'll try to be novel...
1. hell, I'll just group the top ones together: threesomes, fuck or die/amtdi/sex pollen/pheromones/whatever, hurt/comfort...
2. Physical restraint-- holding someone's hands above their head, pinning them to a wall, anything where one person's body is restricting the movement of another's... in a sexy way. xD
3. First times/getting someone to try something new/teaching someone. Letting someone do something you've never had done to you, or letting them guide you through what to do... that's hot.
4. Comeshots. I BLAME PERDI. But seriously, uh, I like it when someone comes on another person's chest/stomach/back/thighs/anything but the face and hair basically. Especially when it's a possessive thing. Mmhm.
5. Delicacy. Light teasing touches, writing on the body, tickling with a feather, using breath as a primary touch, fingertip/tonguetip trails... I like the subtle things, not just diving past foreplay. Mix this with canoodling or just making out and that's ACES.

MUSIC
1. Death Cab For Cutie
2. Ani DiFranco
3. Fall Out Boy
4. Regina Spektor
5. The Mountain Goats

I'm pretty much finished packing, and I'm going to take my first dose of the new med pretty soon. Mom brought me up to the mall for a haircut and by the time we got there they weren't taking any more walk-ins and we had to drive back and we hit every. fucking. red. light. between there and home, TWICE. And I did exactly what Lisa said I shouldn't do, and apologized and felt guilty over a bunch of things I couldn't control. Mom just shook her head and said "Remember the joke and the car accident? You've always been that way. I don't know what I did to make you like that." I was like three when that happened. What the hell does a three year old know about guilt? Except I took it on myself even that early.

I can't imagine how that would have been their fault. Then again, isn't everything our parents' fault? (at least according to my specializing-in-child-therapy counselor, it is... sounds like bullshit to me.)

Well. Not much to be done about it, right? Except identify the problem and try to stop when I recognize the behavior, which by the way doesn't really work, but okay.

what the hell, self, stop being such a Debbie Downer out of nowhere. I think I just need to eat something, I'm hungry.

You say "blame" when you mean "thank".

And you're welcome. :P

Blame, thank, what's the difference really? xD

but really thank you because goddamn, have I written a lot of things I never even considered before, my horizons got blown the hell apart by you. ♥

*hug* Not your fault. Man, I have a hard time imagining anything could be your fault, but I get the same way. When someone is upset my first instinct is to start apologizing because obviously it was me that somehow made them upset, even if it...really obviously wasn't.

My mother says she could beat you if it came to the 'How many fantasy novels I've read' game. She also inquires as to whether you've ever read the Shannara books by Terry Brooks? And also says that Mercedes Lackey is like the Stephenie Meyers of science fiction (burn).

Haha, thank you for the vote of confidence! Things are, in fact, sometimes my fault. I've taken responsibility for WWI and the Korean War before.

We've got the same thing going on... we need to stop being guilty for things we have no reason to be guilty for!

Your mom apparently has never read Mercedes Lackey because she writes fantasy, not sci-fi. :P but she's got a point that I will concede. (except she wrote like, the first openly gay character I've ever seen in a fantasy book, so I kind of owe her...)

I read the first two Shannara books and they didn't hold my interest. Has she read the Wheel of Time series? (man, I wasted SO MUCH TIME on that, each book was like 700 pages and the man DIED BEFORE HE FINISHED THE SERIES) And she might mock me, but how about Anne McCaffrey? Most people know her Pern books, but she did a really great sci-fi series I can't remember the name of, I think the first book was Damia, or The Rowan, something about a telekinetic/telepathic family... and also a trilogy staring with Crystal Singer that I love despite knowing it's not exactly gold.

...your mom has an edge by being like twice my age, but I spent most of my childhood reading fantasy. xD

Oh geez, mom just flipped out. She didn't know Robert Jordan had died (but yes, she's read the Wheel of Time books, and is now regaling me about them). And we've got a ton of Pern books, but I don't know if she's read them for years, lol.

She didn't know? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, then.

I freaking loved the Pern books. DRAGONS.

Love your kinks. :-)

I didn't even know what sex pollen was until a year ago until, during an exchange for The Used, like, everyone requested it. And omg, was it the hottest shit ever!! A++ stuff. All that pheremones, boys in heat time stuff is just awesome. But then, you wrote my exchange fic, so you know that. ;-)

And of course, H/C is my forever and always. <3<3<3

Awesome choice in music too. XD

I have to say, writing Mohinder pheromone-whammying everyone was a lot easier than writing Syko. xD But I'm still glad you liked that one!

\o/ yay for music!

Those be some pretty colors there, especially the tones of gray. Oh yes, I love that color, too. Although, I do admit, I have no idea what 'really-good-weed' orange would be. I've never even seen weed. XD You pretty much spend the day like I do, although less cross word puzzles and more watching History Channel/CNN International. I just love to watch what's going on in the world, although quite a bit of it scares/dismays me. Like these town hall meetings...

I feel you on the medication part, dear. I have no health care at all. None. I haven't been able to replace my glasses in years, because I can't afford it. I wish I could. :( I'm just really glad I haven't ever been seriously sick or needed surgery, I wouldn't know what to do.

:D the orange is the good stuff.

I'm honestly too fucking terrified to pay much attention to the world right now. If I had to face everything that's going on, I would be a wreck.

:( I'm sorry. I'd make my usual suggestion of Medicaid, but California's broke, right? idk what's what with that, but you might want to look into it if you haven't? ♥

I know, right? I wonder how inflated those prices are from the pharm. company's prices... I couldn't even get it at my normal pharmacy, I had to get it from one in a grocery store. :/

Oh, honey. I would say that universal health care is the only way forward, the only civilised way for a society to function, etc., but you've heard it and you don't need it right now. But, you know, mental illness is kind of a bitch? And you sound like you're dealing, you're competent, you know what's what. Don't beat yourself up, mmmkay?

♥ I'm trying not to. It kind of helps to berate myself on LJ, because then I feel... I don't know, like I've gone to confession or something. Once I admit that I'm having the bad thoughts, they're easier to beat back with sticks. xD
