Oooooh, I see what the big deal about Castiel is now.

Angel of the Lord, huh? If that's what the faithful get to see, I really slipped up when I was fourteen.

...joking about the fate of my eternal soul, always good for an uncomfortable laugh. Seriously, if there's one thing I'm worried about, it's that my parents are right about everything. What the hell, serious turn is serious, get back to fawning over the pretty, self.

They way I've always seen it is this: if the Christians are right (and why should they be right over all the other religions?) then either a) god is forgiving and loving and won't care that I don't go to church, or that I'm gay, and will judge me based on the goodness in my heart - or b) god is a strict bastard and, quite frankly, I refuse to bow to his oppressive regime.

But then I also think that if the Christian religion is right, it won't be in the form we see it today. It's fact that it was mortals who chose what went into the bible.

If any of them are right then we can all go together, and frankly if anyone is right I personally don't know anyone who is avoiding hell for all eternity. I'm thinking that if their is a God, a prospect I have over 20 some years of examining whether or not I believe come to think fairly remote, then I think the whole 'Judge not lest ye be judged' bit is kind of up there on the important points to remember list.
