femmealunettes: (bitch please. : Lafayette)
So I just had someone ask me out to lunch on OKCupid. Someone who goes to CCC and with whom I have a few interests in common. In fact, I think I might have been introduced to him by my Botany professor while I was in the middle of my plant practical exam.

I don't think he's cute in the least, but it can't hurt to try to make a friend, right? I mean, worst case scenario is he's obnoxiously flirty and it's not like I haven't had to deal with that in the past. And it would be good for me to actually get out of the house and do something. And it's just lunch.

The down side to all this is, not being able to drive means I can't make a quick getaway if I deem one necessary. Not that I think I will, it's just good to plan ahead.

I don't even know, I'm so fucking socially awkward it's a miracle I even interact with other human beings sometimes.

I've watched two episodes of The Inside and it's pretty good. It really is more disturbing than Criminal Minds, for sure. I like that the actor who plays Lafayette in True Blood plays the techie role on this show. I can totally imagine him and Garcia being BFFs across the country or something. xD And, you know... Adam Baldwin in suits, yes please can I have some more?

Hopefully it won't give me nightmares... I'm going to try to sleep through the night for a change and see how that works out. No getting up to check my email or play Bejeweled or whatever other excuse I come up with to stop trying to sleep.

I know the suckiness of not being able to escape awkward situations from lack of being able to drive all too well. Friend making is always good though. And if it doesn't work out there's no harm done. :)

I really enjoyed The Inside when I first saw it - even though the episodes were hideously out of order. Definitely gets my vote for most disturbing crime show that I've seen. I don't think it gave me nightmares but there's one episode with a 'kaledoscope killer' that really did freak me out. Sexy suit-wearing Adam Baldwin definitely makes up for any creepy. :D

I only heard about it because someone wrote a crossover between it and Chuck, and I'm really glad it was brought to my attention because I'm enjoying it a lot!

It is a lot of fun. Pity so few episodes were made. :(
