I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] taliatoennien, but I'm not going to tag anyone else. Do it if you feel like doing it!

Lots of pillows or just one?
LOTS. I have five on my bed right now, plus two pillow-sized stuffed animals. I need things around me when I sleep. And things to curl up with.

What kind of books do you read?
Predominantly sci-fi and fantasy. Some nonfiction (Michael Pollan mostly, a few books on politics/history), graphic novels, poetry... but 90% of what I own and what I read is sci-fi or fantasy.

What does the world need to do to get in your favor?
Let me sleep and not make me cry. Really, it's that easy. Making things go smoothly for me is nice, but really I'll just settle for getting enough rest and not being sad all the time.

ZOMBIES OR ROBOTS: Which apocalypse is scarier?
Zombies are WAY scarier. Robots could be taken out with one really good computer virus, or they'll run out of power eventually. Zombies just keep on coming until you chop off their heads.

Why do you currently like Livejournal?
This is my home base on the internet. More than anything else-- even more than my email address-- this site is what's important to me online. It's the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I check at night. All of my friends are here, or at least the ones I actually communicate with are. It lets me keep a record of what's going on, without being as isolated or uninteractive as a diary. People get to say things about my life, and that makes it more interesting. Plus, people seem to think I'm entertaining, and I do like to amuse folks. :)

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
At the moment, I think I have to claim White Collar as my number one fandom. It's the one I read the most in and the only one I'm actively writing for. I'm going to be so sad after the finale when there's no new episodes to look forward to!

Tea or Coffee?
Coffee. Cinnamon coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LJ, Gmail, Facebook in that order. Then in some random order: Unicreatures, Lockerz, Twitter, Questionable Content, Girls with Slingshots, Zooborns.

What was the last thing you bought?
An extra large cinnamon coffee, extra cream and sugar (for me) and a small hot chocolate (for Julia), last night before the Serenity game.

Which fictional character do you think you're most like?
I hate this question. I prefer to have other people tell me who I'm like... xD Uh, I have a lot of similarities with Willow Rosenberg pre-witchiness, I tend to claim a kinship with pre-Sylar Gabriel Gray, I'm a lot like Ami Mizuno...

Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
Sometimes I really want salt and vinegar chips. Or a roast beef sub. Or the song "Sax Roehmer #1" by the Mountain Goats.

What do you do to change your mood?
Make wangsty LJ posts, watch a show that cheers me up, listen to some lively music (Lady Gaga is surprisingly effective), take a pill if nothing else works.

What was the last meal you ate?
Um. I don't... leftover fish and chips, yesterday around noon? I haven't had a proper meal since then, I think.

Do you want to learn another language?
I'm going to be required to take two semesters of a language at Wells. Part of me just wants to refresh my French (I used to be pretty decent at it), part of me wants to be bold and try Japanese.

Five things you can't live without.
My computer, chocolate, pillows, hugs, books.

Find the closest book currently sitting near you and flip to page 54. What is the first sentence of the second paragraph?
"When the entire sequence of events that constitutes a plot falls into a symbolic pattern, as in "My Kinsman, Major Molineux," the events are often archetypal." My mother's old college lit textbook. (That is, the book which taught me to appreciate poetry all on my own.)

What was the last dream you had that you can remember?
There were Nazis, and a redheaded guy and a redheaded girl, and somebody was hiding behind a false wall, and then it started to rain. I really don't remember much more than that.

What are you looking forward to?
Tuesday, when I no longer have to worry about presentations or midterms because they'll all be done.

Me too! Although I agree with you that I dislike having to come up with an answer to this question by myself. I'd prefer others to do it for me, even if I'm sometimes nervous about what they'll say. :P

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how much Lady Gaga cheers me up sometimes. I'm not a music snob, but it just feels weird somehow to fess up to that. "Just Dance" powered me through last semester, though.

You need to eat more real meals, woman! *shakes head*

Speaking of which, I believe there is pizza waiting for me in the kitchen. Must investigate that. :P
