femmealunettes: (tired)
It was a little bit funny before, but it's not really funny anymore... I can't stay awake. I wake up every two hours, and I want to go back to sleep within an hour or two.

I at least finished the book I was reading. Blood Ties is basically a big, amusing SG-1/SGA crossover with a Mary Sue, but it was all right... obviously written by people who took a lot of care not to mess the characters up, which is better than most of the Star Trek novels (my only show-based frame of reference).

My computer keeps dropping downloads halfway through, but I'm crossing my fingers that it's going to get Trio all the way, because I really want to see it. That's the only thing I miss about not having cable any more-- Psych I usually downloaded anyway, but it takes longer for SGA to go up for download.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and reset... force myself to stay awake until night time, and then pass out earlyish. I have a story to finish for [livejournal.com profile] bedfellows and tv to watch.. and hey, I might clean the fridge. \o/ (...how do you make an emoticon sarcastic?)

D: so tired.

Waking up every two hours: Lame. Going right back to sleep: Pretty awesome, actually. Nice long wake-up shower: Very nice. Delicious healthy breakfast and Stargate Atlantis at an early but non-painful hour: SWEET.

Trio was fantastic. squee )

This episode was EPIC and AWESOME and the perfect way to start my day, I think. :D

Now, I'm going to watch the first episode of Ashes to Ashes. I haven't heard good things about it, but I have to give it the first-episode chance.

femmealunettes: (kicked puppy!Ianto : Torchwood)
Verdict on Ashes to Ashes: I don't think I'm going to follow through with this one. Alex is entirely unimpressive as a protagonist. Gene Hunt is lovable as ever, and Chris and Shaz are adorable, but... man, I don't like Alex or her attitude or anything about her. And we found out what happened to Sam, but did they mention Annie? I didn't catch it, if they did.

Alas. Well, I didn't really need another series to follow. I'm set with Torchwood and SGA and Psych.

Unfortunately, my good start is already dwindling-- I'm exhausted again and I haven't even been up four hours yet. :/ I have a feeling that watching anything else won't help... so I'm going to try to clean my room some, change the bedsheets, all that good stuff. Maybe some laundry. Just to keep me on my feet and occupied.

I'm very photosensitive right now. I can't even look outside without getting a flash headache... of course, it is all bright white, but that's not the point. Stupid snow, anyway.

I just have to keep myself from crawling into my bed once it's made, and I should be good.

...I crawled into my nicely newly made bed and passed out. For... two hours! This has to be symptomatic of something.

I got some reading done first. I'm about a third of the way through Running Fiercely Toward A Thin High Sound, which is brilliant Jewish lesbian magical realistic fiction and very enjoyable so far. A little confusing with all the POV shifts, but the speakers get identified quickly enough.

Now I am going along with George Tyndall on a delivery trip, and I am bringing along the Marijuanalogues, which I am certain he will find hilarious. \o/ And it gets me out of the house (ow brightness) and with people (yay socialization) and will keep me very much awake. Win!

Call me a safe bet; I'm betting I'm not.

The moon is sharp enough to cut, but the snow's whipping a soft layer between it and me. Windy...
