Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy
I posted this a couple of days ago... here are two covers of the same song.
Hit the Lights - Hey Jealousy
James Eric - Hey Jealousy
One of the communities I'm on asked members to post three songs that reflect themselves... so here are my songs.
Peter Mulvey - The Trouble With Poets
I know it's only trouble
I know it makes us real
I wish that peace of mind was something I could steal
The trouble with shoes is they come untied
You might take a fall down the stairs
And a poet might come along and say, "Ain't that just like life"
I think the trouble with poets is they see poetry everywhere
Green Day - She
Are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you?
Are you feeling like a social tool without a use?
Scream at me until my ears bleed
I'm taking heed just for you
Jimmy Eat World - 23
Amazing still it seems
I'll be 23
I won't always love what I'll never have
I won't always live in my regrets
You'll sit alone forever
If you wait for the right time
What are you hoping for?

I've been having good days. Cleaning house during a thunderstorm sounds like awesome fun, actually.
Also: \o/! GideonCalhoun level 28! wootwoot
I almost clicked the spam button before I processed that the rest of it was a Domino's Pizza special. xD
The dishes are steadily being vanquished, and I just started some laundry. I am dilly-dallying between doing my bedroom or the living room clean-up next. Mostly, I just hate moving around in my room. >> Using it as storage and a place to sleep is good enough, it doesn't have to be clean, right? I mean, no one sees inside it but me and the cats.
To end this pointless post: this is what I found in my mail today as part of a Bed Bath and Beyond flier. It needs to be shared.

THE MANGROOMER.
THE MAAAAAANGROOOOOMER.

It's Shakespeare's birthday! Well, actually it's his death day, but it's the day we observe his birthday.
So when you see this post, quote Shakespeare.
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet
"Sometime we see a cloud that's dragonish;
A vapour sometime like a bear or lion,
A towered citadel, a pendent rock,
A forked mountain, or blue promontory
With trees upon 't, that nod unto the world
And mock our eyes with air."
--Antony and Cleopatra
edit again: I just saw the first growing flowers of spring! They're dandelions, but whatever! FLOWERS~~~

I may watch Dan in Real Life and then get back on the spring cleaning thing. The cats are just lying around and I can't blame them, it's one of those pre-storm afternoons that makes you want to doze off until you hear thunder.

I changed out a tote full of summer clothes for winter ones, and in the process I found my favorite pretty nightgown. It has been torn... basically since I got it, because I think it was a throwaway from the thrift store. But I fixed it, finally, and it looks super cute. ♥
I am popping sunflower seeds like it's my job, except my job is really writing a paper. What I want to do is go finish Dan in Real Life (omg Steve Carell I just want to hug him), but I am probably going to end up going to sleep after I finish this. -_-;
On the plus side: the kitchen is clean, the living room is acceptable, and tomorrow I am throwing down with the mess in my room and we'll see who survives. xD
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay opens on Friday! HELL YES. Kristin and I are going to catch a matinee. \o/
The new Weepies album is pretty good.
That is all.
