WHOAH.

Now I know what that cute little pill will do to me.

I slept from.. what, maybe midnight... until 4 pm. I woke up for about 30 minutes around 6:30 or 7, but I just had basically 16 hours of sleep....

On the plus side, I feel great. xD Still. No more experimenting for now. And another plus, my dad is too doped out on pain meds to notice or care that I'm only up for the first time.

And now I have something more efficacious than Ambien on hand. Because that stuff was not living up to its past potential.


I have ENERGY. Holy crap. I must not waste this.

Barack Obama's grandmother has passed on.

I can't even imagine how that family must feel right now. I'm crying a little bit for them.

Twice the reason to pray for the Obamas now, whatever you believe in.

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.

I don't think there is a polite way to tell my mother, "No, I don't believe in your God, and I don't know what makes you so sure that your religion is right and everyone else is wrong, but please stop trying to recruit me."

Yes, I'm fucked up. But adding a deity that is letting the world go to hell, free choice or not, into my life doesn't seem like the best way to un-fuck my life. Especially when I disagree so much, and for sound reasons, with so much that they believe in so virulently strongly.

Apparently thinking that I don't matter in the big scheme of things is "thinking sent straight from the pits of hell."

Also she sounded a little bit like Virginia Grey, and she realized that and asked me not to start cutting open heads. So there was a little bit of laughing in with the crying.

All I have to say about tomorrow: I have sent in my vote. I know you're all excited to go vote. And silly as it may be to say, I have faith that America as a whole will do the right thing, and when we all wake up on the 5th, we will do so at the dawn of an era of change.
