Yeah, it's Kink Bingo time. I will be participating, as I have done for the past two years, but before I even sign up I would like to make a promise to all of you.

Last year I was a complete jackass about my card and I made some people feel bad about their kinks, which is the exact opposite of what Kink Bingo is meant to do, and once it was pointed out to me that I was being an asshole I kind of hated myself for a few days. So I'm not going to complain about my card this year, because it was seriously uncool of me to do that, and I am trying to be a better person. I understand that the stuff that squicks me hardest is the stuff that some people love the most, and I'm sure the reverse is true too.

So I promise not to be a douchebag this year, and if I break the promise, feel free to take me to task about it, because I absolutely do not want to denigrate anyone's kinks or make anyone feel bad about liking the things they like. I'm going to keep my opinions to myself, like I should have done in the first place. And if I get a card that makes me unhappy again this year, I'm going to suck it up and put on my big girl panties and deal with it like a mature human being and not a childish bitch.

I'm sorry again for my behavior last year, I'm really, really sorry to anyone I made feel bad with my thoughtless words, and I'm not going to do it again, I swear.

Also, I may be soliciting assistance in finding appropriate stories to podfic as fills, once I figure out what bingo I want to go for. You all came up with some really fantastic ones for me last year, I hope my line this year will be as interesting.

Although, OOH, they allow original fic this year for the first time, so I may very well fill everything with writing this time around! I haven't finished a piece of fanfiction in almost a full year now, but I've been writing original fic pretty steadily, and I have a much easier time handling my own characters now. (Which isn't to say I don't miss the days when I was pumping out 30K of Heroes fic in a month, but I haven't been seriously inspired for a fandom since the Star Trek movie came out, which is kind of sad.)

It was so fucking hot out today. :( Julia found someone who let us use her pool, and that was nice, but for the majority of the day I've been sitting up in my room, quietly sweating.

The high point of the day was making fruit salad for dinner. I am probably going to have another bowl soon.

At 9pm my friend Tyler is going to be on the History Channel. I never watch the History Channel but I'm going to watch tonight to see how long he's on the screen. Civil War reenactment is a pretty cool hobby to have.

My teachers have three hours left to submit my grades and three of them have yet to do so. I am SO fucking unimpressed with the delay. If my grades aren't up at midnight, I'm going to send some angry emails. Well, maybe I won't send one to Gagnon since I was late handing in her final, but McClusky and Geller have no excuse for taking this long.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment and an appointment with Dr. Giaccio. Next week I have an appointment with an eye doctor and I'm going to get some sweet new glasses. What I really want is something kind of like what Cillian is sporting in this icon, silver rims with no bottom edge, but I'm not sure how close I'll be able to find to that style and those specific glasses are super expensive.

Kink Bingo card request post is going up around 3pm tomorrow. I'm going to be at my appointment. I hope I'm not so late on the request post that it takes days to get a card, I'm really psyched about getting started on it.

I should really finish writing something I've already started before I get all excited about starting new things, though.
