1. What is your favorite Star Trek movie? (not including STXI)?
I'm going to totally buck the trend and say The Voyage Home.

2. What is your favorite scene in STXI?
Swordfighting on the Romulan drill platform. Fuck yeah, retractable katanas are awesome.

3. When were you first introduced to the Star Trek franchise?
When did Next Generation air? My mother watched it religiously when I was young. The first time I was introduced to it and PAID ATTENTION I was 14 and got into the Original Series thanks to the Sci-Fi Channel.

4. Is there anything Star Trek around the room in which you're currently sitting?
HA. A poster, a calendar, half a dozen action figures, half a dozen Burger King toys, the collector's box set of the first 6 movies, STXI, Star Trek: The Manga, about a dozen Star Trek novels (mostly by Diane Duane), three light-up plastic comm badges, a keychain-sized Rubik's Cube with Trek images on each side, some printed-out fanart taped to my walls, and at least two Star Trek t-shirts, one of them in Science Blue. And that's just what I can see from where I'm sitting, I'm probably forgetting something.

5. Vulcan ears are: A) cute, B) sexy, C) neither, D) both.
B. To be fair I had a thing for elves before I had a thing for Vulcans, but hey: pointy is hot.

6. If you could be any other species than human in the Star Trek universe, you would be:
Vulcan. Emotional control would be so fucking nice to have. That or Cardassian, the Cardassians were pretty badass.

7. Which pet would you rather have: a sehlat or a tribble?
I don't think a sehlat would get along with Butcher... plus a tribble would have a beneficial effect on my mood!

8. Who might you cast in the role of reboot Nurse Chapel? Khan? Other reboot character?
Oh, I had a couple of these picked out around the time STXI came out but I don't remember who I had tapped... and honestly I can't think of enough blondes to cast both Chapel and Rand, that's pretty sad, isn't it? My anti-blonde bias bites me in the ass here. I'm going to go totally around the bend and suggest Naveen Andrews for Khan (he's supposed to be Indian, not Hispanic), and because it entertains me to suggest it, Seth Green as Lieutenant Riley.

9. Kirk and Spock are:
The original OTP, and two-thirds of my original OT3.

10. If you could give any Star Trek character a chance to be captain of the Enterprise, who would it be?
I'm just going to refer you all to the excellent novel Doctor's Orders by Diane Duane.
