a) 1. He started learning swordfighting from his grandfather when he was 11. He was winning fencing tournaments by the time he started high school.
2. As much as he loves flying the Enterprise, and he really really does, there is nothing he likes quite as much as taking helicopters out on solo flights.
3. He names his plants, and when he makes daughter plants from cuttings, he gives them diminutive forms of the original plant's name.
b) He sucks because he has yet to fence shirtless like TOS!Sulu.
c) He is amazing because, as long as he doesn't forget to take the parking brake off, he can fly just about anything in just about any condition and do it with style.
d) 1. Awkward first kiss with Chekov. ♥
2. Shirtless fencing a la The Naked Time.
3. Actual botanical gardening things. I would love to see him playing in the dirt basically.
4. Caught in the rain on an away mission, because he's the type of guy that gets more adorable when wet.
5. With some kind of baby animal, also for adorableness factor. Baby alien animal? Maybe a tiny sehlat.
e) I seriously can't come up with five people I can't ship him with within his own canon. He's such an easygoing guy, I could plausibly ship him with just about anyone. and I think I might be the only person in the world who's ever written Sulu/Spock (no, that's got to be an exaggeration, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do it).

\o/ hooray for Watson! This is going with book!canon because Granada!canon leaves a lot out and movie!canon is just too small for my purposes.
(a) 1) the reason he can't make up his mind whether he was shot in the shoulder or the leg is because he was shot in both and he's too proud to admit to both injuries at once... he forgot which one he mentioned in one story and mentioned the other one too and now people call him unreliable which bothers him to no end because he's perfectly reliable, okay, he just leaves out certain facts sometimes, which is part of why his stories are so interesting!
2) He has only been married once, to Mary Morstan, a marriage which ended when she died in childbirth.
3) The only time he has flat-out refused to accompany Holmes is when he was invited along on an undercover mission on the condition that he had to shave his mustache as part of the disguise. He told Holmes to have fun without him.
(b) He doesn't give himself enough credit at all. He's actually very smart, but he heaps all his praise on Holmes and barely spares himself any description at all.
(c) He is the best-natured person in the world to put up with Holmes for as many years as he does, because let's face it, the world's only consulting detective is a temperamental diva with a drug problem, and you have to be one hell of a loyal friend to deal with that for upwards of thirty years.
(d)1. Watson hunting, he's supposed to be a crack shot, I'd like to see that.
2. Watson playing with the bull pup he supposedly kept before moving in with Holmes. (Nobody knows what happened to that dog... mysterious.)
3. I really wish some adaptation would show us Holmes and Watson meeting for the first time, because honestly I would like to see how they cast post-Afghanistan Watson, who is supposed to be "thin as a lathe and brown as a nut" and suffering a little from PTSD if I read the signs correctly.
4. Watson borrowing Holmes's mouse-colored dressing gown. ♥
5. Watson badgering Holmes into eating something when he's going on days without food because apparently he can't spare the energy to digest when he's got his brain running at full capacity, which is just total crap and drives Watson completely nuts.
(e) I don't think I can make it to 5... Well, Watson/Moriarty, because Moriarty is evil and Watson is the complete antithesis of evil. Watson/Mycroft, because he already has the more attractive Holmes brother. Watson/Inspector Hopkins, because Stanley has a crush on Holmes, not Watson. Watson/attractive young lady of this week's case, barring Mary Morstan from The Sign of Four, because he's popular with the ladies but he's a gentleman, okay, not a man-ho. And.... um... Watson/Mrs. Hudson, because that is patently ridiculous. (I can and do ship Watson/Lestrade, though.)

(a) 1) The reason he wears glasses and not contacts is because he has astigmatism.
2) He's the oldest of three children.
3) Despite how the relationship started, he did (and does) genuinely love Sandra.
(b) Everything that happened with Lauren. HUGE frowny face.
(c) He's the one entirely normal person that can handle running in a superpowered crowd.
(d) 1. Have we seen him in a t-shirt and jeans? We must have... I'd like to see it again, anyway.
2. Noah doing karaoke. No seriously, if he goes drinking in bars, he's got to end up in a karaoke bar eventually, and I bet he's got a decent set of pipes.
3. Reconciliation with Sandra. I know it probably won't happen, but I'd like to see it anyway.
4. Any kind of bonding with the son he apparently has forgotten he has... seriously, I disapprove of how easily the show has dismissed Lyle from existence.
5. In bondage all tied up with his own neckties. ...a girl can dream.
(e) 1. Noah/Lauren, because she was completely unnecessary and turned a family man into a cheating husband and I hate her stupid guts.
2. Noah/Tracy, because the only blonde he needs in his life is the one he's married to. (well, and Claire.)
3. Noah/Claire, because that's just wrong even if they aren't blood-relatives.
4. Noah/Peter, because we know which Petrelli Noah's interested in and it's not the youngest one.
5. Noah/Samuel, because there's no basis for it at all.
