I should finish one daily thing before I start another, but hotness deathmatch is almost done, and I get bored easily, as you all well know. SO! 30 Days of Film meme, yoinked from boombangbing.

Day 01 - Favorite foreign language film

Apparently Amelie and Lola Rennt are cliched answers to this one, but I dearly love both those films. Picking any anime movie seems too pat, even if Adolescence of Utena is one of the most visually stunning examples of animation I can think of. Yossi and Jagger was too desperately sad for me to count it as a favorite. However, there's one film that gives me pretty much everything I want out of a tale of friendship, and does it in such a charming and stylish way!



Kamikaze Girls is about the growing friendship between Momoko, a Lolita girl who sells her dad's knock-off clothing to get money to support her frilly dress habit, and Ichigo, a Yanki gang member who doesn't get the Lolita mindset but hangs around with Momoko anyways. It's really a cute story, and it's fun to see Momoko be a badass at the end of the movie. :D

It is 80 degrees out. It is too hot to do anything besides sweat. I had rehearsal for graduation at 11 and I almost passed out from standing up too long in the heat. It's not supposed to get much cooler by Sunday. I really, really hope I don't actually faint on the day I graduate, that would be beyond embarrassing. The only thing worse would be tripping as I walk off the stage. I don't want either of these things to happen...

One nice thing about graduating and having to wear the cap and gown is I can finally wear my fancy Chucks to an event that isn't a wedding. They're so pretty, I wish I had more opportunities to show them off. xD

I basically napped away the entire afternoon. There's got to be something I should be doing... something that isn't smoking the last bit of weed I almost forgot I brought back from Plattsburgh....
