The problem with botany is that it's a subdivision of biology, and I kind of hate biology. Clearly I did not consider this when picking classes.

*stabs cell theory, the cell cycle, and for good measure, cell phones, cell towers, cell blocks, and cellulite*

I took a botany class last semester and my god I wanted to murder my professor. He's just the most dull man on the planet, and it certainly doesn't help that I discovered that the anatomy of plants does not interest me at all. Plants feel far too technical, and it's hard to connect with them and be interested in them unless you're already predisposed to liking plants.

This is why I am taking a geoscience course for my lab requirement. I like rocks. Rocks do not really have anatomy because they are rocks. :D

I'm lucky in that my teacher is actually very interesting, and the lab portion of the class (at least the first half of the semester) will keep me on my toes in a good way.

A friend of mine wrote rock slash when she was taking earth science. Quartz/Mica OTP!

Duh, lol.

I took AP Biology and Botany is my LEAST favorite part. The Calvin Cycle! Photosynthesis! NADPH+! Ugh, who cares about freaking plants to a microscopic level. We had to spend a month learning how plants make food. Whyyy...

!!!!!!!!!

LMAO!!

I remembered this.....totally hilarious class once!!! ROFL!

We were doing autotropisms...what are they. Right? And the teacher...*snarfles* asks this dude sitting at my table what is an autotropic organism....*dying*

The guy, was listening, but he was writing something so he was distracted...he's like, looking at his book "An orgasm that makes it's own food..."

The class goes dead silent. He repeats it!!!

"An orgasm that makes it's own food." I don't know if he thought no one had heard him or what! But...whoo, the teacher just ignored him(he was kind of the prankster type too so...that kinda struck against him=P credibility wise)! It was so funny 'cause finally he looked up and I mean, everyone in the class was just trying not to DIE!

Doing biology...before Heroes was ever a factor in my life, I wanted to be a geneticist.

I love that whole area you hate. =P Whether it was plant, animal (human)....*sigh* Now I've forgotten it all. I use to be so good...mitosis, meiosis, what's that area where you determine likelihood of passing on certain chromosomes?...I loved that!...OHHH!

The days of sweet sweet Biology...

At least you don't have to dissect pigs or frogs or anything? That's what I really hated about Biology.

Oh hey, off topic, did you ever find your copy of Reservoir Dogs? I have one that I got at Hot Topic years ago and I don't watch often if you want it. Actually, I would love to trade you for any PostSecret books you might have. I want to do a presentation about it for my art therapy class and it would be great if I had the book. I could reimburse you for the shipping costs.

The worst thing I'll have to dissect is a piece of fruit, lol!

I still can't find my copy, no... I'm afraid my brother has it, in which case it's probably ruined.

I have four of the books, would trading for two of them be okay? Do you want the first one, My Secret, A Lifetime of Secrets, and/or The Secret Lives of Men and Women?

Yay!
